There is quite a bit of merit to waiting some time before relaunching the server, quite a bit of security needs to be put in place to prevent this from happening again. Try to keep a cool head, this is exactly the sort of stuff that "the hacker" wants to happen.

Besides guys, we're all blowing this way out of proportion. It'll probably a few days, maybe a week or so of downtime, then life goes on (yes, the internet is my life, shush).

I'd host the server but I don't have a box for serving and my internet is a changing thing... Dynamic IPs + wireless = hell.

Better not do anything back. Just like in Discovery, 'he started it' is no excuse for doing anything illegal.
It would be nice if we can report him to his own provider.
