Because I haven't seen this level of crazy powergamey play since those ZonerZonerZoners tried to blow up all of the Corsair leaders in a trial with a hidden bomb or some stuff. Most of the leaders, if not all, can be looked up at http://discoverygc.com/forums/showteam.php RE: .:j:. Junker Congress Faction Feedback - nOmnomnOm - 03-12-2015 (03-12-2015, 01:59 PM)Sarawr!? Tal, who was not allowed to post there, had his post removed and the contents nullified, The Junker Congress persisted nonetheless. And for the record, when you're going to debate with somebody, try using spellcheck and proper grammar. RE: .:j:. That doesn't necessarily mean that Congress views the consequences that come out of this trial as something binding upon them. They may simply view this as nothing more than a story from their watering hole. That attitude would explain their RP of bringing guns to a court of law. If they don't expect any consequences out of this, then they could do whatever they want as far as RP is concerned and not have to worry at all. So, my question stands. Does Congress view this trial as a legitimate event, in which its decisions are binding upon them? I would love an answer from Congress on this. RE: .:j:. If this was a watering hole story, then it would be a watering hole story. In fact, is there something that makes watering holes less legitimate stories? SRPs are accepted all the time from the Stories section of the forums, so surely they have some kind of meaning, no? I thought Stories were meant to enhance and complement the roleplay of factions both in-game and on the forums? EDIT: In fact, considering the roleplay involves two entities that exist in-game, can something be done about this if one of them decides to disregard the outcome of said trial? RE: .:j:. Junker Congress Faction Feedback - Garrett Jax - 03-12-2015 Just answer the question please. RE: .:j:. Junker Congress Faction Feedback - matster - 03-12-2015 Two points to make: First, this is fantasy storytelling by amateur writers. Professional writers put things into movies and books that are unbelievable and we suck it up like Kool-Aid. Following that if someone criticizes you or your friend’s writing you could ignore it or say thanks for the input. Second let me review some of the network the Junkers are part of and why this raid and subsequent trial makes no sense at this time from an RP point of view. Liberty is at war with Rhineland and Bretonia is at war with Gallia. Until the Gallic war at least is over, Liberty would be likely to turn a blind eye to the Cardamine trade as far as the Junkers are involved in PR. The Outcasts (source of Cardamine) are currently working with the Bretonian government and Liberty would be aware of that. You want realistic, here it is. Governments do this all the time. Are the Congress acting arrogant? Yes. They know their position is strong due to the current political situation. Liberty and Bretonia need intelligence and quasi lawful groups provide a lot of intelligence for governments. Not forgetting the logistical support they provide in areas where the authorities cannot be seen operating. This type of thing does happen in the real world and it is usually a loose cannon or an uninformed PD that does it and things either get swept under the rug by the Feds or a scapegoat is found. Whoever conducted this raid in real life would have been balled out for it. RE: .:j:. Professional writers also have copy editors and publishers that weed out story elements that don't make sense or are problematic before they go to final print. RE: .:j:.
