Ending the Capship Issue(and more) - Reverend Del - 06-12-2008 Nooblet it's RP and it's readable and it's good. It's not conventional but who said it had to be? Akuma, we fed the troll and it was a mistake. Please do yourself and us a favour if you have a problem with something out of game deal with it in-game. I did. I had a beef with the registration of weapon storage facilities in Liberty, I organised a protest march and I had it blown up. So much more fun than whining about it. Oh and I was a newbie at the time. Pretty much factionless, in fact I don't think I'd signed up to any faction except the LPI, which hardly counts. There's a video of it on the forums somewhere. It led to all sorts of fun. Including eventually me becoming the leader of the LR which was an unintentional side effect. Seriously try it, sensible RP within the game looks so much better than running your mouth on the forums. It seems you missed the facts here, it's not sensible rp in the game that matters to factions on this issue, it's registering your ship on the forums. If you factions leaders could keep it to sensible RP within the games I wouldn't have posted at all on this subject. Ending the Capship Issue(and more) - Eppy - 06-12-2008 Quote:Why on earth you can't limit this to ships that you actually see acting oorp I don't know. ...because then it wouldn't be preempting it, would it? I already have everybody's name down with the system, if I get a report about somebody doing something grandiosely stupid in one of our ships I instantly have something to communicate our potential displeasure through. What you want me to do is somehow divide the seventeen members of the 101st and however many of the RoS and BLS feel like tagging along into 200-odd people and station them 24/7 in every system in this server and monitor the performance of every single Outcast capital ship in the player database at all times, and drop the hammer the minute any one of them slips. This is just a little bit impracitcal, as you may have discerned by now. Go ahead, try it! Quote:But you're neither my faction leader or someone who I respect enough to do what he demands, so go ahead and try to pvp whore me.Right, mate, here's what we see you trying to be: Here's what it's coming across as: ![]() Or possibly this: ![]() Really now. It's getting annoying. Ending the Capship Issue(and more) - Akumabito - 06-12-2008 ' Wrote:...because then it wouldn't be preempting it, would it? Neither is preregistering. Really try to think about this, if someone is doing something oorp (like you do when you pvp whore poeple you can't boss around) then whether they are registered or not, they have to get reported to you for you to know it happened. Once they are reported to you, what do you need to look them up for? You have the screenie with their name, right? So show me how well you thought this out and tell me what this preregistration demand actually does given those facts. |
