At least you got both warning and apologies. Good for you. I received none of those, neither first, nor second time. Despite he was there, both times. That pretty much convinced me he was trolling and his claims and acting like an innocent did not convince me so far about the opposite. Nor did his failed attempts to draw parallel to existing rules and this situation, failing to realize that a ship to ship combat situation is entirely different from a ship to base combat situation and barely comparable to it.

The one question that comes to my mind is why did the base fire at the one individual that seems to be at the heart of the issue? According to one post the base was not set as hostile to said individual so how does anyone know the guy didn't first fire on the base or platforms thinking to take revenge for the first "accident"?
Imho, there should be more than one instance reported first. And I agree that proper RP should have been done before the base was destroyed. You can't blow up players without saying something first, why should player bases be any different, especially in an environment where the owner is forced to share administration rights with others?

No other base attacks have had 5.2 applied to them for this, but I'll be sure to include some specific roleplay for every one in future. However, that wasn't the main problem here - not bringing up the discussion as it has already been here for almost 30 pages now.
Now as I've stated (and I have used that phrase so many times recently), I didn't do this purely as a dick move to upset John, and I don't have some ooRP hatred which would lead me to do that.
Unfortunately, he seems to have other ideas, although the rest of you making a bunch of jokes about it is hardly helping. Wish you'd not thought it worth creating an ooRP Bretonia hatred group on Skype. I guess a new group appearing to attack us all will at least bring a bit of activity to the house.
