It will try to, but it's not very likely to hit the target.

no wonder my missiles always miss, i'm never patient enough....
anyway back onto the topic, i haven't flown a BH bomber in a while, but a good setup would probably be 3 buckshots, a sidewinder and a cannonball. I only recently learned about having 2 missiles and using q to fire them both at once, i learned about it the hard way in a RM training session:(.
