The way I see it, this group is the 'legal' side of junkers - focusing entirely on salvaging, transport of legal goods, etc. - whereas the junker's congress would handle smuggling and blackmail, but would also be more like the governing body of the junker populace.
The congress is a political faction, the union is more of a worker's group.

Anyone wishing to join up and try out for the Union needs to do the following:
-Create a character with the proper tag (Name him/her JU-Name )
-PM me with that character's name
-Acquire a CSV from manhattan and run missions/bribes at Rochester until you have a junker tag and ID
-Proceed to Bornholme Depot in omega 15 and begin salvaging

I saw someone posting about a junker party and figured i'd reference them to this.
Unfortunately, my characters are now deleted (I still have aki.kimura but she's in a nephthys with no equipment right now).
Come 4.85, I may come back and try to get this running again, assuming jinx's junker salvage ship is put in.
