Wow. Violent video games are okay, but (non-gratuitous) sex is bad. Maybe I'm from hippy-land, but that's weird.

Sadly, it's just the way the world is. Totally fubar.

Yes.. its like how you are able to join the military, own a gun, and smoke at age 18, but you can't drink until 21.. well in the US its that way. *mad face*

Im sorry, Xing, buut... - bluntpencil2001 - 07-07-2008

Why would you smoke if you weren't drunk?

Wasn't there something about GTA: San Andreas too?

Carjacking, beating people dead with a dildo, gangbanging etc... "Well... I gues it's okay". (the critique is mild)
Then a certain mod comes around that unlocks certain stuff and suddenly: "What? Sex??? (non nude btw) Ban it! BAN!!" (heavy critique)

I was also surprised about a comment on IMDB. Someone was worried if there would be nudity in Rambo 4. I mean... what? (If you've seen Rambo 4, you'll know what I mean.)

Well, I guess it's the right attitude. We all know that a naked breast is going to turn children in obsessed lurkers, rapists and eventually devil-worshippers. But some violence once in a while and they'll turn into lawyers and doctors.

@ Jazz: This is in no way an offense on you or your parents. If they want to keep you clear from these kind of images, I'm not going to meddle in their choices. I'm just saying I don't support that line of thinking.:)

Aye I know, but my parents are very wierd about that. well, mum is. Dad just said "Damn, she pretty hot" and went back to he grill and his beer. I too afraid to even show mum, I know she would freak. Sho dosent even like to go to the beach. "way too much skin" she says. but that dosent stop us, we still go from time to time.

Her excuse for letting me play FL and BF2142 is "Its not real. And if it was too bad then the ratings would say so. She never even let me play The SIMs till I was 13. and she still wont let me play anything rated M or watch anything rated R. But she lived in the country with a Southern-Babtist family. so she was never exposed to real life until she was in college.

Thanks again Xing.
Get well soon.
Come home safe.
"woof woof"

This is probably the most helpful of the "suggestions" from above replies.

It will certainly save you some trouble. Hope it works out.

And as someone who grew up in the Deep South in the United States and who is also a parent, I realize that youth today (European sentiments and viewpoints aside) have no idea what has been lost and how much it's going to cost in their future. [this comment isn't regarding cartoonish sigs or prudence]

There is a "language" of the past that conveyed a lot of real wisdom and was much more than just "what you can and can't do". Such things are lost to most youth today.
