trick or not, Light fighters and freighters are going to catch up to anything that's moving slower then their own cruise speed, and even if its say a HF chasing a HF or a LF chasing a LF, if their turning on an angle, change your direction slightly as if chasing the "direction cross-hair" from their ship to intercept them and catch up, that is unless its a straight line cruise.
