RE: Junker Roleplay in light of new Lawful ID - Papa Oomaumau - 09-26-2013 If my Junker characters are going to be treated like pirates, then why on earth would I fly them? They have some of the worst hardware around! - Ships turn slow, have giant hitboxes, the Junker weapons have short range and minimal damage, the list goes on and on. As it is now a Junker win, in any fight, is a very rare bird. Well let me share with you the latest incident. We will know more when the evidence is shown but I am sure there will be ALOT more of these types of situations in the near future. As Sarah said, it's not like Junkers haven't been shot at before. Junkers should be thinking on their feet to prep for situations like this. Sure, you're getting thrown in with other pirates but there's a difference: You get to think on your feet, possibly RP your way out of tricky situations. For example, you could try not using the lanes like everyone and their mother if you want to keep your cargo that safe. Try flying safer possibly. If you come into a sticky situation, do what a Junker would do: Resort to bribes, trickery and cunning. This is the push Junkers need to really start RPing the way they should. I don't really see a point in reinstalling freelancer if this change is going to stay. Change it back or forever be known as "That tool who ruined quasi-lawful RP for good." Because freelance Miners didn't already have it bad enough with utterly terrible mining bonuses, let's make it so a random cruiser can kill them and jack their ore for daring to be near the lanes! This was, I can say with no hesitation, the worst idea implemented into Discovery. |
