Use what we have, so:

1. add some nice keywords to our website, like "space shooter game", "freelancer space mod", "multiplayer adventure" and other words gamers use when searching for new stuff. Let Google do the rest.

2. make one SIMPLE page that keywords link to. That page must be:
- rich of appealing game photos showing pew, trade and RP aspects of the game, ALL IN ONE SIGHT
- maybe a video or two
- and short info how to install a game. Too much text to read can ruin everything.
- state clearly it's RP game, knowing English is mandatory

Our usual target is rather small and is limited to FL vanilla owners. But FL is easy to order/download and we gotta attract some ppl that never heard of FL.

I would point out all sites but one: Gamefront. Why? Because they banned a lot of countries, from where good chunk of players and modders are. When I want to download mod for a game, I can't do that, because I am redirected there - thus I can't download it since Polish IPs are just banned.

"Your country is not supported," said Gamefront. Bull****. It's a BAN on IP numbers from my country, nothing more nothing less. It's just racist.

You can use a web based proxy server that masks your Real IP and gives you a fake one from any country you choose, so you can quite easily by-pass that and download whatever you want from wherever you want!

If you want the Link, PM ME

(n.b. Proxy only hides your IP in Web Browsers / Internet Surfing nothing else)

Well, in Poland it's "kind-of-illegal" and I had somehow "one cute adventure" with police about "cybernetic piracy" - nope. The only good thing is I didn't get fined for that (and I can't afford loosing PC because of degree documents I'm writing right now).

Still, I find that awkward and dirty move of one of the biggest mods download page against all but North America. Out of curiosity, why wasn't Gamefront got sued for such move? Is this REALLY legal? Hell, it comes under the racism.

these are good ideas, but one question i ask to the people that are going to create the vids, please NO rap or screeching heavy metal ROAR type music, try to use atmospheric tracks that make you think of space and so on

This track would be ideal for a trailer, with the similiar style of presenting the Discovery Mod like the music video is done. How about it?

After all, I found this track in one of Homeworld 2 mods (Path to Victory) and it fits space battles very well.

Thanks for the update, but why no 'beam weapons fixed'? They're made useless, especially razors.

And for the advertising: there are planty of battle video makers (incl. me) who can help attracting gamers' attention.

A few channels right there:

I'd like to refer to xenos. It's not racism, it's nationalism. (nerd)

Does MyBB have a Mass PM functionality, or a plugin that can do this. You have 15000 accounts here that can be reached in this way. Don't discard the old blood while concentrating on new blood.
