I'm going to overlook how you, by proxy, is calling everyone here an idiot.
I'm not going to throw insults.

I am going to point out that no system is perfect.
Democracy is what the people make it.
On earth this equates to:
The people choose their leaders, those leaders suggest to the other people in government what to do. Then they vote on it (not unlike what happens when democratic governments are elected, people run for government and are elected by -majority vote-).
Thus things happen.

Democracy does not enslave, it just adheres to what the majority thing.
So whoever has the most people backing them have the most power.

If you want a few capable people elected through merit or scientific means, you want a meritocracy.

Democracy in discovery terms is just "what do most people think about this?"
The devs already have enough trouble trying to keep everything fair.
Creating a monstrocity that can earn 20 milion in less 5 minutes (which is more than enough to get a decent ship and okay equipment) is not fair.

You're entitled to your opinion, of course, but that's no reason to call people idiots just because more people think that your idea is unfair to other players.
