RE: Seriously maaaaaan - Floyd.G.Murphy - 01-20-2014

What is this Lagg you speak of?

i don't get much of it at all, only very rarely

it could depend on which other programs you have running at the time

as i do get it more often if i have skype running while playing, possibly your pc

or maybe it's your isp, how far away you are, and the time you are playing

more than likely, a combination of the above

Oddly, I had little lag in the big capfest in NY just now.
However,
Lag increased when Hoover started firing.

I'm talking server lag, dude.

RE: Seriously maaaaaan - Syrus - 01-21-2014

Even chainfiring Isis in Minor didn't cause this kind of lag, the problem must lie somewhere different than in the combat fireworks. Also the lag has been around since before the player bases were reenabled. So I doubt it's them, even though they surely add to it.

Can't you try to find the problem by turning off each plugin at a time?
Preferable starting with the cheat protection, I'd guess it's that plugin that causes the lag.

RE: Seriously maaaaaan - Hidamari - 01-21-2014

It isnt the guns or the amount of them. because it wasnt this bad in the past, even with Eco chainguns at 16.67 refire on the server

RE: Seriously maaaaaan - Curios - 01-21-2014

Problem might be found by researching into the changes that were made in the last update. Why? Because when there was no POBs and server was short of 1 update there were no lag and server was pretty decent. Made me to assume misleadingly that the server is back in shape of "playable" place. Then month later it's back to it's state. zz

RE: Seriously maaaaaan - Murcielago - 01-21-2014

I was playing old version on 9 years old CPU and I didn't have lag .
Ah and I had use 16.6 rate of refire guns then.

My lag problems started after 3 update on this new version.
And if I remember right I had to bypass Avast to even start game.
Also I have good ping and I don't run any additional programs on CPU (new one now core I7).
Perhaps devs should look at stage 3 updates, what was implemented then?
Also it is well know fact that two antivirus programs try to kill each other, soo if you have some code written (for anti cheat) that is similar than common antivirus code...it is possible that we have problem here.

RE: Seriously maaaaaan - RedEclipse - 01-21-2014

Don't think it's because of weapon platfroms, even when simple tractor stuff from space game for a moment getting laggy too.

RE: Seriously maaaaaan - sindroms - 01-21-2014

No.

New ships do not have LOD models. That is why we have FPS lag now.

RE: Seriously maaaaaan - Mephistoles - 01-21-2014

If that's true then not having proper LODs is poor.
