The problem with that is, it sets precedence for an inRP capability that really doesn't belong with any faction on disco :| Even the nomads, which arguably have the most firepower in Sirius right now, can't actually destroy planets without blowing up a sun - they can only glass it. Maybe if it was a one-time thing, maybe. But being able to replicate a plot device, stick it on a cruiser, and vanish an entire planet is just worrying. RE: Removal of planet Primus - Omicron - 03-10-2014 Some people tend to pay too much attention to changes/retcons. Prior to 4.86, Toledo had more than 17 million population on the infocard. RE: Removal of planet Primus - nOmnomnOm - 03-10-2014 So your telling me you RPed a creation of a weapon similar to that of the Death Star... I want one too. Can I SRP a barge with a Heavy Mortar? The freeplay server runs about 33 max, and another one runs at the 20s. RE: Removal of planet Primus - Enkidu - 03-10-2014 Other servers have never been part of the Dev'ing schedule. The AI's are RP'ing around the Primus removal in a way which makes sense according to Disco realities. They're not RP'ing a planet's power destruction for the hell of it. Anyhow I think the Lambda Jumphole collapsing would make sense then, cause otherwhise you've got a point, the AIs can't just pretend to have such destructive weapons that can crush a planet, however the Lambda Hole collapsing would be ok, I think? In the end you did a mistake there Hassl, you shouldn't have given "No, let primus as it is" option. Because the devs gonna remove it anyway, so why bother voting for it? JUst stick with the first 3 Suggestions and let the people vote. RE: Removal of planet Primus - Cashew - 03-11-2014 Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems you are asking the community on their opinion and 'poll', when you have implied several times that it is getting removed. I'm not quite sure what the poll is for.. Asking for how the planet to die? But then option 4 says don't kill it.. I'm confused as to the point of this... RE: Removal of planet Primus - Nocturnia - 03-11-2014 Speaking of the poll, I believe the results are also self explanatory. RE: Removal of planet Primus - Vicho Deivis - 03-11-2014 If you going to remove it replace it with an asteroid field with radiation damage and something minerable. Preferible with asteroid like the ones on Rehiland. |
