I doubt it, as it would be a legitimate question.

Wasn't there some other IMG faction in the works somewhere? Try contacting von Gotteshand if you're interested in the IMG, I think he's in it. Oh, and by the way, the IMG and BMM are competitors and enemies both intent on laying claim to the same sector of space... the Taus. The IMG is a faction of frontiersman, making a living in the thick, resource rich asteroids of the Taus, dealing with daily Outcast raids on their remote bases.

-_-

Highlighting the hypocrisy of people who accuse people of spamming because they double post/triple post accidentally.

No disrespect intended, I just want you do know that player factions usually require active participation on and off the forums. And they usually aren't too amused when a new player throws himself into their faction, then disapears soon after.

*Phew*, intense post.

I have decided to stay Independent anyway, I work long hours, have a family and lead a busy life in general. I can play Games on my PC twice a week at best, maybe once a week for a long stretch.
I certainly don't have time for forum "gaming".

SO I'll leave it at that I think.

Eh. Join my clan. We care about in-game RP more. It'll be fun. :)

Outcast clan that is.

I generally ignore that or just step away if I get drawn into it.

I am more of a casual player anyway and not really interested in getting deeply into this game, or any for that matter anymore, so I don't expect I will have any issues.
If it DOES stop being fun, I'll just stop playing and do something else.

The funny part is here, the forum whores are generally also decent members of the community in-game.

It takes participation and communication to make RP work, after all.

That may well be true, but those who don't want to or don't have the time to spend in RP on forums shouldn't be frowned upon, because of that.
That doesn't mean they are any less of a Roleplayer in game.

My original point is gaming forums are usually places where the problems really kick off and tempers get frayed. So it TENDS to give negative impression of the game in question.
Look at ANY commercial MMORPG forum and you'll see what I mean.

Just look at THIS forum! Tempers are splitting left and right. Hopefully it will abate when 4.85 come out.

Hey! You're not allowed to have a life AND play video games! :nono:

Heheh... The thing with Disco- being a RP server- is that alot of story and participation absolutely requires participation on the forums. It's a whole different breed of server, and it takes some determination to integrate yourself into as an active member.

That doesn't mean independants are any less of RPers. I've seen some independants RP better than members of player factions. *cough*lbrty*cough*

In the end, it's all up to how you RP and put yourself into character and events.

Sorry if I sounded harsh earlier. Better me than a faction leader though.:P
