Nobility and peasantry.
The Nomads are skull-frilling humans only because it was absolutely necessary in order to control the "invaders". The Nomads flying around are free and frolicky while the Wild are getting shafted by being stuck inside a human. So the big Nomad Battleships are controlling the small peasant-like Wild.
And laughing. Or clicking. Or whatever noise it is that Nomads make.

Ooh, good question. I'm not in the edge worlds often, so I dunno how many offensives are launched against Nomads, but I think we're doing a pretty good job to stop them in Liberty.

Although I would think the Wilde have more control over the humans than the Keepers/Nomads because they are inside human politics and affairs. This means the Keepers/Nomads can only defend/attack them physically while the Wilde can mentally turn the humans on one another because of their presence in politics.
I guess its safe to say just because you don't see them, doesn't mean they are not there.

Interestingly, no one has mentioned the incomplete Nomad gate in Omega-58 yet. As far I know, the next mod version will introduce not only a new house but also a lot of new Nomad content. What if the gate gets finished? It's unlikely (as it would be much additional work to the developers which are already working on a new house after all, and I bet they are all pretty busy), but: what if?
