Yes that's the big question, hence why I would love to hear a Dev or someone tell us if possible to implement.

No you don't get it I mean is it possible as in would Devs like go "Sure if you guys actually can do it and propose us the files we will consider it" thats what I mean, like devs giving us a "Go" for this project so we wont waste our time in case it would get denied.

Pink thrusters already existed, but were only accessible to Nomads(/wild). They were removed in favour of the new "thrust" effects instead.
It should be relatively easy to make new ones.
