So wait, does black list merely prevent docking or does it also make the base hostile? I could see instances where a base shooting at me or someone else an act of hostility, especially if it's along a trade lane or just outside of a jump gate/hole or otherwise unexpected. On another note - what happens if someone is black listed and white listed at the same time? What about if a tag is whitelisted but an individual who has that tag is black listed, or vice versa? RE: New POB feature: Blacklisting - Remnant - 01-04-2015 I suppose it does make you shot at as well. That could indeed be counted as hostile. RE: New POB feature: Blacklisting - Alley - 01-04-2015 A ship can't be blacklisted and whitelisted at the same time. If you add a blacklisted player to the whitelist, it will remove him from the blacklist and the opposite as well. Also yes, it does make the base hostile. The blacklist is meant to be for people you do NOT want around your base. Defensemode 0 = can dock = whitelist, unknown = hostility based on IFF, blacklist = you die Defensemode 2 = anyone can dock, hostile IFFs can't dock and will be shot at, blacklist = you die Defensemode 1 = everybody dies except whitelisted people. RE: New POB feature: Blacklisting - Hudson Trading Company - 01-04-2015 What if the tag is white listed but the ship is black listed? Like LPI = whitelist but LPI-Bob = Blacklist. RE: New POB feature: Blacklisting - Liberty Security Force - 01-04-2015 Wonderful. I didn't implement that possibility because it was very unlikely to happen but I'll change the code so the blacklist overrides that. - done it's on the serv RE: New POB feature: Blacklisting - Praetor - 01-04-2015 omg abuse OP balance finalnail ---------------------------------------------- All hail Alley for finally fixing and implementing the code and Kazinsal for starting the work long back. RE: New POB feature: Blacklisting - Zen_Mechanics - 01-04-2015 Congratulations alley and thank you again. RE: New POB feature: Blacklisting - Alley - 01-04-2015 Please, when you add a tag to the blacklist, add the PROPER tag. For instance if you want to make the GUMS| faction hostile to your base, you add GUMS| to the blacklist, not GUMS. If you add GUMS it cause any name starting with GUMS to turn hostile and be shot at. Now this kind of case would be extremely rare, but think about it! RE: New POB feature: Blacklisting - FynnMcScrap - 01-04-2015 .... thinks about adding [ADMIN] to the blacklist, fetches a chicken hat and settles to adding [Angels] THX for your efforts, Alley :-) |
