A lot of people on these forums are generally rude to new players. Has been like that since I joined. Obviously not everyone, but a few more than a minority. It has always bothered me. Someone asks an honest, innocent question and gets berated for it. People generally just need to take a chill pill and calm down.

Are real-life pirates, the ones whose role we are trying to play, well-known for their kind hearts and such? They have a soft-spot for the impaired or what?

This isn't an AFK-style game, really. If the base was right next to you, why didn't you dock up? What if the players that came up to you wanted to do lengthy roleplay/cyber with you? It would have been kind of rude of you to just be AFK, waisting their time and effort, don't you think? This really isn't an AFK-style game.

Well... RP isn´t about ethics. Its about a reality- near game over a sci-fi theme. So Mimir has a point here.
