RE: Friday, Leeds, Snubs Only: GRN vs. LN and BAF - Mímir - 01-30-2015 I'll try to be there, on GRN| RE: Friday, Leeds, Snubs Only: GRN vs. LN and BAF - Angry Zoner - 01-30-2015 Somebody will be offended if I bring my medical frigate (Corvo cruiser) for pure RP reasons? RE: Friday, Leeds, Snubs Only: GRN vs. LN and BAF - Swifty - 01-30-2015 I will be there, on GRN's side of course. Or maybe my [C]? (::: Oh we'll see. RE: Friday, Leeds, Snubs Only: GRN vs. LN and BAF - Thunderer - 01-30-2015 This was actually fun, for a dogfight at least. Thanks for showing up! If all goes as planned, this should be a weekly event. RE: Friday, Leeds, Snubs Only: GRN vs. LN and BAF - Mímir - 01-31-2015 If we are doing this again, maybe we should try a different "game mode" - maybe some small scenario, where we split in groups of three, so people can have a 3 v 3 at the NL jumpgate, a 3 v 3 at the Magellan JH and a 3 v 3 at the Dublin or New London jumphole? When one hotspot is cleared, the surviving fighters can join one of the other hotspots or something like that? I guess that would also add some light RP element, since we've got ranks and would have wing commanders. It would be more fun, to me at least, if the snub-only event has more duelling in it, rather than group focusing on one target, and then moving on to the next when that's done. There wasn't much piloting involved. RE: Friday, Leeds, Snubs Only: GRN vs. LN and BAF - Thunderer - 01-31-2015 The first is too complicated to realize. You can't know what numbers you will get and how many of them will speak English. You also can't coordinate the pews in the whole system if they are multiple groups, and it would be confusing (who's the target, for example) if all are in one. Additionally, you can't know nor control who appears after the pews start. The second one is a bit unrealistic. Why would everyone duel, if one side knows most from the other one are better at 1 vs. 1? Or, if there are more players on 1 side, why would they just stand by side and wait until their comrades die so they can engage? I'm against that, but if the demand is high enough, I'll try to implement it. By the way, who won? What numbers or percentage did they have at the end? RE: Friday, Leeds, Snubs Only: GRN vs. LN and BAF - Highland Laddie - 01-31-2015 I liked how the snub event went! Even the lack of missiles seemed to go well, although some folks were still using Mosquito CDs....I guess wanting to get as close to missiles without using actual missles, but anyways. The lag wasn't terrible, either. On dueling, I agree with Thunder. 1 v 1 dueling just plays into the hands of the aces more so. If you want that, there's Conn. This is supposed to have that chaotic battlefield feel to it, and I thought it did that well. RE: Friday, Leeds, Snubs Only: GRN vs. LN and BAF - Thunderer - 02-02-2015 Event moved to Saturday. RE: Friday, Leeds, Snubs Only: GRN vs. LN and BAF - Thunderer - 02-07-2015 I probably won't come to the event, I'm sick and I can't stand those quick snubs with a headache. Don't wait for me, just assemble and pew. RE: Friday, Leeds, Snubs Only: GRN vs. LN and BAF - Thunderer - 02-07-2015 Event in 20 minutes. |
