I'm one of these people that likes to try and take the game "seriously". What that actually means is that while I'm flying, I am pretending to be a pilot in a far-off universe.
When we are encouraged to roleplay on the server, a certain amount of "realism" is required. Hostile bases popping up out of nowhere doesn't fit this bill.
However, I also play here for the enjoyment it brings and the people in the community. It's a fine line. While what can only be described as joke commodities do exist, they are few and far between, and the distaste they bring to some through "immersion" breaking is offset by the laughter of others.
Where this breaks down is when there are those "seriously" trying to achieve something that requires a large amount of "realistic" material, I'm talking about SRP's and POB core upgrades and the like. The answer is simple. Just do the same thing you do to the lolwuts writing OORP in system chat with big caps. Omit their very existence.

As for my own two cents.
If you want to enjoy the ingame as a serious RP server, some ex de le dank memes should hardly bother you.
Unless you really think that the server may not be as serious as you'd like it to be and now you are just nitpicking for reasons that's the case.

To be fair, I have only seen one of the mentioned problems (Blodo Diamonds, and even they are not ridiculously obvious, but still...)
But when the mod itself is not conducive to the concept, is it any wonder that the quality of roleplay is going down the drain amongst the players?

As for Blodo Diamonds I am still laughing about, but you are right, should be renamed back to Blood Diamonds.

What about pirating them with Corsairs? That used to create a surplus of tears back in 2012.
