I know the TAZ might not be able to, but wouldn't any edge world (Omicron) Zoners be able to recognize Nomad weaponry if any would be used? I mean, they've probably been shot by it plenty of times.
This is my only concern regarding this, really.

The non-Nomad side has no gunboat, I'd suggest you withdraw yours as well for better chances.

In other case, it will be the Ottawa's Security boat and keeps sieging Freeport I guess.
