Should RFP follow LPI in terms of ship use? - SGTMatt - 10-01-2008

It is true the SHFs are crap one on one but they make exellent support ships. I am not so sure about the new SHB that Xing made but the Spatial is really fun if you fly it right.

However, most of the SHFs have ginormous hitboxes that make them cap fodder.

I know I'm a heretic here, but could you RFP guys join RM also? Make 2 shared bomber accounts under RM available to restricted personnel in RFP. You could then RP calling backup from Military. Re-engagement rules would have to be observed of course very carefully, so that's why the accounts should be placed on solid hands only.

I don't see a huge jealousy problem here since RM and RFP work well together in the server.

I know it's a compromise of sorts and should be used as a last resort only if LFs don't just cut it.

It would be really nice to see a police force to handle the Civilans so the RM to handle us Military threats. Just don't completely change your RP like the LPI did. It was really too bad we lost the donut munchers.

I'd go as far as proposing that a number of RM also create RFP characters (should we reach a limiting cap for each other roles) in case they like getting back to the old civilian processing duties.;)

Good idea, by the way, loogas.

I think that the new Mjolnir SHF (Xing's model) will be an excellent choice as a police patrol boat.
Other then that, I also agree with loogas's idea. Sounds great.

I like this. It keeps military class vehicles under military tags while providing the support RFP would need occasionally. Perhaps the RM bombers we would use would be like a national guard of sorts.

Off topic but totally made me think of this thread. Some police found a grenade in the park, stared at it for a while and then called in the military to deal with it. The military reported back saying the grenade was neither activated nor filled with explosives. The military went home, the police are investigating.:P

Currently, I can only see three active RFP members, so we wouldnt feel guilty about "killing" a faction. actually it would be quite cool to apply as "rheinland lawful", work on two careers and always be obliged to change vessels types for different duties. In any case, RM shouldn't scan for contraband *goes to skype and lobbies for it*
Though, I still like the thought of RPing the tough guy of the Police' special forces. especially in rheinland where you are supposed to do it Gestapo-like, pushing others around in the name of the gottkanzler.

I'm sorry but i couldn't disagree more. any bomber will kill you with a SN - and I am deeply horrified by the thought of flying a SHF, as even a VHF would out turn me.

The RL police organizations do have veteran squads for defusing bombs. Not sure how this would refer to a bomber as it does seem more military spec unit from an armamentary point of view. Like the B-52 heavy bombers of UK for example. It could also refer to a heavy artillery unit, depending on the point of view you assume.
