I'd say transports and miners need to be killed if F1. Not snubs.

Well people rely on the chat list for everything. If you're trading, its to avoid pirates. If pirating, its to find traders. These days people use the chat list to avoid people more easily than finding them. When people stop using the list to avoid piracy, pirates might not to go such extreme measure to catch up to someone. Traders just have to stay docked, watch the list, and log back on when its clear. Sometimes when you know you're close to someone but they won't come out, so I see no problem with leaving it in space along a route. Its an option that provides at least one chance to turn around a traders 'automatic win by waiting it out' tactic. SURPRISE!

There are 2 different ways, if I remember.

One it says Player_XY disconnected if you do alt + F4 and the Player_XY is attempting to Cloak stands for F1 in space. Right?

So, we could differ the destruction according to those 2 messages.

Either every ship that's F1'd for > 30 minutes should go poof, or none should. Some potential issues with this have been brought up already, however. I'd imagine it would be quite unfortunate if you lost connection to the server for a while with a codename storage ship while in mid-space, for example.

Id rather everyone did than none did.

I don't think ships should die from being adrift in space, from my point of view this would get really irritating considering my internet is probably the worlds worst thing ever concieved. Again from someone else who posted the possible answer to that, 'Get better internet'. Yeah that ain't possible in my area nor it will ever be. It's 0.31MB or nothing and it's incredibly unstable at the best of times. Losing connection happens frequently as a result, it's already frustrating enough without say getting DCed on a transport and losing my cargo, resetting me back to square one. Likewise with a fighter or cap to which i spend the time on roaming around vast distances in the Omicrons. Yeah i'd rather the current DC concequence remained..

I'm with Snak3 on this one. If you're going to implement such a feature, it should be applied to all ships. No reason that miners should be able to F1 in the middle of a mining field while a pirate snub can't do the same.

I think it's a cool idea, but it has to be done fairly, regardless of ship class.

nope, sorry I like it how it is now. Leave your pirate ship F1ed for too long and you'll drift too far to catch someone easily anyway.

Oppposed.

Quick logging when not interacting should not be punished beyond the 1 min shieldless in space and the off plane mechanic currently in place.

Do not see any RP purpose for this change whatsoever. There is nothing in the FL campaign or lore that shows that a minimally powered snub can't survive on the drift for extended periods.

Only would view as favorable as a universal gameplay change, but I would still have preference for the current setup.
