You know what's worse? The hatred when you don't actually know the reason and you just hate someone for just hatred. Just look around you. There are people, families, nations that hate each other for something that had happened back from generation up to many hundred years back. Too bad, it would be pretty interesting concept for a third side in the Gallia. But hey, with Gallic Junkers and Brigands, I'd see either Maquis or Brigands seceeding from the Anti-Crown alliance. Also, as for Bringands, they are the only unlawful Gallic faction that can operate in Kyushu AND they have the most neutral stance between Hogosha and Blood Dragons. Something that no other house pirates/unlawfuls have. RE: What if Gallia? - Miaou - 05-05-2015 (05-05-2015, 07:57 PM)Thunderer Wrote: Thank you. That's quite interesting. That's what the faction leaders are trying to do. We're kickstarting different RP ideas like the Gallic nobility and hopefully more to make the house more appealing. Not to mention editing the solar systems so it's not a hell hole. If you have ideas Thunderer, you got my skype. And it led to huge progress-gap comparing to other countries. People kinda forget that they have Kusari and Rheinland as trade allies. They are also gathering ores from the taus. Between the taus and trading with two other houses, they are pretty well off at this point. There's also a big difference between a modern day country and a galactic house with multiple planets. Things kinda work differently with different scales. I only brought up Japan as a reference that it's a thing that happens, not a direct comparison. Gallia was in isolation, without connection to other Houses, and, even if we consider, that it had so much resources, where did it take brains for new technologies? Gallia has much less population, than other Houses, yet it could somehow to develop much more advanced technology. I'm having a feeling you never actually looked into the lore and backstory of Gallia. Gallia is a large house, the largest of the five major houses. It has a very large population boom, which is why you can find space colonies around in the different systems. (05-05-2015, 08:55 PM)Crackling Wrote: That doesn't mean it is ideal... Life isn't ideal. Also I have a feeling you're arguing just to argue at this point. Where can I find the whole history then? Don't send me to wiki, it doesn't have much. Also, I don't like to argue that much. But in my opinion all this Gallia thing is a bit ridiculous. |
