Some RP like that in terms of ranking. But that is something different. In terms of what you said in post #21, I have to say to quit while you are at it. His opinion is to trololol? ok. Yeah i am a faction leader. Why bother making it here you ask? I already explained myself in page 2. please read back to find the explanation. ok? And thanks for saying this thread is poor. Oh hey what is this? A PM from an indy player saying thank you? OOhhh nice ^^ RE: A problem we need to address. - the indy - Laura C. - 05-13-2015 (05-13-2015, 01:55 PM)Thunderer Wrote: I agree. The RM cruiser thing is actually typical example how easy misunderstanding can happen. I don´t know what you were flying, but if it was for example junker, I can imagine that RM player simply RP his character the way he doesn´t like junkers, but have to tolerate them when they are not breaking laws. So answer "Get lost, you're clear" is a way how to express it. Of course the other option is that the statement was motivated ooRPly by lack of manners on player-player level. But it´s very easy to confuse these two option and then bad feelings are created, when player feels offended despite the insult was meant inRPly. I state that you should have kept it to skype or the leaders forum (which actually sees almost no use, and a thread like this would have use there) and save yourself the drama coming from this thread. Fine. Your point is that they can just re-name themselves and go on their way. So are you saying then at the moment in game when you encounter an indy they should not be treated like an official just becasue of that? The whole point is immersion and the like. Yes a group will be there. Yes an individual can come and then be gone the next day. At that moment though when you encounter an indy is it fair to judge? imo no it is not. RE: A problem we need to address. - the indy - nOmnomnOm - 05-13-2015 Since I have gotten now positive feedback, I'd say the problem is with you, Lyth. Quote:Individual players. Why the hell are they treated like crap at times? Ohh I see... Just because you have a tag it means you are better? Reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaddddddd RE: A problem we need to address. - the indy - Stefan_Steinar - 05-13-2015 i agree im playing in a unofficial faction and indie due to several reasons and i always refused to join officials and i had great RP with many people who were indy in fact their RP is often better than the RP of officials - i guess depends on whom you meet i believe that indie are good for the game and we need them as much as we need huge factions RE: A problem we need to address. - the indy - Gondoros - 05-13-2015 I've been playing on the server for almost an year now and more than half of that time I played indies. From my experience, indies do get treated differently. Now of course generalization is not the case. Different factions have different ways of thinking. I actually noticed this behaviour more on the police/navy/army official factions side, but in a way this way of dealing with indies is understandable from their part. Most new players wanna get fighting ships as soon as possible so naturally they invest their time in doing just that , buying a fighter/bomber/cap even. Thing is they do not know, yet all the rules, the lore, diplomatic relations and so on, so they act according to their limited knowledge, sometimes making a mess of things and giving a poor impression to the officials present., and , well you know the rest. On the other hand I have seen and have been in a position where I was just ignored, even treated like crap basically, because I did not have a official tag, regardless of the quality of my RP. Some people and I'm underlining some, tend to think they are better just because they are official and have more influence. Funnily enough a part of these people treat everyone like this , be they official or not. So it mostly comes down to each and everyone of us, and how we think that indies should be treated and integrated in Disco. Oh and about the RM, well RM usually RP like that, them being Rheinland stuck ups , with a superiority complex and a hate for outsiders. Now again this is their RP, at least that is the impression I got. It's fun sometimes to be on the other end of their RP. I think that if during an RP interaction, someone manages to stir up an emotion inside you, be that hate, happiness, sadness etc, they are doing their job good. |
