I think that instead of adding up new systems, we should focus onto development of the old systems.

I mean, look at Texas or Kyushu for example, these systems are pretty underdeveloped. Whole "bottom" area of Kyushu hasn't been developed yet. Hokkaido is also underdeveloped. I think there would be a place in any house that feels "empty".

And about development of the systems. California Minor should have water and some green right now. We are FOUR years away from the deadline of the terraformation. I'm sure that California Minor shouldn't have so much white right now, not in the current state, not even a decade away from the finishing the terraforming project.

I understand why Bretonian players do not want their house to be cut down again and again.
However, adding more systems to Disco is totally out of the question.
And as the vote shows, Dundee is not a system of any relevance.

Perhaps the changes should be made in a way that does not affect the "ingame power" of a House.
Let's face it: all of these are gameplay changes, oorp changes.
Therefore, I doubt they will have irp reasons and irp repercussions.

Perhaps Bretonia could even proft from the change by making the existing systems cooler. Delete the boring stuff, and condense the interesting, cool stuff in fewer, more populated places. That sounds like a recipe for success today.

Wo, ye: Delete Dundee.
And delete a lot more.
There are Dundees all over the place.

Good call, btw, to ask the community.
I bet if you put up other systems like Dundee, the vote would be similar.

Jack

Dundee, quite useless, i'd say, exepted for for some capital ship npcs pew.

i don't even know why they put a molly base there.

I hope you keep dundee, its a nice place for farming GRN as a BAF!

All the meanwhile nobody is giving a flying F about Gallia losing more developed systems (yes, plural) than that, except for those agitating for the removal of the entire house...

While I've never had anything to do with Dundee other than looking at it through FLComp, the only thing I may miss is it's layout, imo would be perfect for pure warzones. Seriously I could see 1-1 system set up regionally with 2-3 bases for main opposing forces in opposing sides/corners of the system and then declare them free from the reengage rule for those who's faction has a base in there. I've no idea why or where the idea of warzone systems failed, but I'd give them a try.

I love how people have their character's interests at heart.

Hey, it's just a game. There is no such thing as a Bretonian empire, and the Dundee system is also made up.

If removal makes the game better to play, which it arguably will, we all win - since we are players and not people living in an actual place in space called Bretonia.

dundee is a good place to farm capitals.

I also think the current number of systems does not fit with the player population. Our systems are underpopulated. The high number of systems potentially reduces the interactions between players. At the same time, some systems could be more developed and integrate some elements of systems that would be deleted to become more attractive. I like the idea of Warzone systems where the rules would ease the fights (official enemies would be allowed to fight at will in these system without restriction).

Regarding Dundee, I am not for or against its removal. I think the decision to remove systems should be more global and include a set of systems. Maybe the server statistics (time spent by players in the system, system chat log, etc.) should be considered to evaluate if the players simply cross the system or also play in it.

As I already stated, Leeds and Edinburgh are ALREADY warzones for BAF and GRN (the latter being VERY under-used at present). So, having Dundee around just makes one more system to spread out the conflict, when, imo, it would be much better to have it concentrated in those systems.
