RoS lost its way long time ago and we should let it rest in peace. I always loved the faction and had fun times playing in it (4.85 QQ) but sometimes it's better to let a faction die with honor instead of making it your everyday generic faction.

I honestly love the idea of the Reapers as a "Repenting Outcast Exiles" type concept, but I wasn't around when the real RoS was active so I can't cast an opinion on much beyond what little can be found on the forums and wiki.
I'd love to see a resurgence/remake to some capacity but from what I've heard, theres some push to just outright remove/retcon the whole thing. A shame really
Also: their assets are some of the best in Disco to be honest. I get so tired of seeing all the same station models everywhere, it's nice to go to Cayman once-in-a-while and be refreshed. I'm honestly kind of curious as to why we're removing one of Disco's most unique systems, and Poster Locations, instead of tweaking them and re-igniting what could be a nice addition to the lore.
Time will tell for everything I suppose.

Even though their lore, with proper adjustments would fit into Disco properly.
However, the multiple reviving attempts that happened, and failed, prove that the faction can't fit into disco anymore.
IMO, the only solutions I see are to either make a total makeover in their lore. Or delete them, and keep Cayman and their shipline for another faction to steel/plunder/coquer. ( mm because I want to see those again)
