RE: So in the end, Barge / Corvo changes - useful or no? - Snozzz - 02-28-2016 What was wrong with the Barge was really the jump trading. Simple as. Though I do think trade factions should have something along the lines of a mega wealth generating ship. When that was removed it was just a lack lustre storage unit. Though a few did actualy fly it to trade, which was usualy a painful experience. It was never what it said on the tin, ie a factory or base unit. So perhaps the answer would be to make it fit its description as near as possible. Maybe if it replaced the base construction platform ship, which creates a large structure out of nothing in a magical fashion! It would need to be a longer process to create the core one POB, with the 'New' Barge being housing, storage and constructional facilities for workers during the process. The initial core would need to be supplied with quantities of materials comparable with additional cores. The 'New' Barge would need to be a more stable object instead of the skittle it had become and a robust object. This would require a true shipyard to construct, thereby limiting who could make one and limiting ownership. So perhaps the construction platform ship could be converted to a more realistic object [crew+fwo+supplies+time]. This would limit POB creation as well as sanitise the barge. The Bustard in itself seems a fair proposition, though maybe it needs some tuning ie capacity to carry the 'fuel' to jump, whatever its form. The Corvo is a similar case to the Bustard, though I dont have thoughts about its 'changed' nature. RE: So in the end, Barge / Corvo changes - useful or no? - Doria - 02-28-2016 not clever changes, to say the least a carrier that cannot carry, a zoner cruiser made a civilian useless ship RE: So in the end, Barge / Corvo changes - useful or no? - Skorak - 02-28-2016 The carrier could carry. It is just that modules have been found to be faulty and are disabled now. RE: So in the end, Barge / Corvo changes - useful or no? - Doria - 02-28-2016 so it cannot really carry anything, can it? RE: So in the end, Barge / Corvo changes - useful or no? - Skorak - 02-28-2016 It is not quite fair to rate it less because of a bug that is planned to be fixed. RE: So in the end, Barge / Corvo changes - useful or no? - Findarato Veneanar - 02-28-2016 I just want to be able to fly transports way larger than the 5kers, after so many years they are no longer awe inspiring...
RE: So in the end, Barge / Corvo changes - useful or no? - Skorak - 02-28-2016 But that would make getting money even faster than it is now.
