I'm only allowing four major battleships, and they *MUST* fit within my specified guidelines. Weaponry is up to the pilot.
We have a crapload of cruisers already so I'm not allowing much any more. but we need FIGHTERS badly. that's the backbone of my fleet there, so.. :)

If the prices are raised, however, then you can't have ship limitations. Raising prices would mean that if somebody got a battleship, then they deserve it. It means that they worked hard enough to get to that level, and not that they just did it in an hour.
I think that even if it is illogical, if the member worked for it, it would be fair. And seeing that you are taking on the IMG affiliation, there could be several reasons for your buying of your battleship:
First, the IMG gave you the battleships
You were all very rich and bought a battleship

The IMG would never be able to "buy" a Battleship. The Militaries aren't going to sell their biggest ships to anyone. Pirates don't like IMG enough.
Only ways would be to steal one, or salvage one. Even if they did steal/salvage one, they would be forced to get rid of it by the militaries.
Though, that can't really be RP'ed here because then the factions that are non-military would easily be eliminated.

The Zoners however would sell battleships to the IMG. Which allows them to use Zoner Juggernaut, Battlestar I (BSA) and BSA. So now they would have battleships.
Also, the militaries can't force other factions (speaking of RP NPC factions, and what their reactions would be) to give up salvaged ships. Look at the IMg battleship in Dublin. Battleship Hood is a salvaged Bretonia Battleship, yet the IMG have control of it.
So if there is a proper RP reason they can get salvaged/stolen ships as well.

After getting a shiplist I might also be doing ships by rank, but not very restricted on that part. Pretty much be Caption + for cruisers or higher, if your under that your gunboats, bombers, fighters, and combat freighters.

Hood was ambushed by Mollys, abandoned by Bretonia Armed Forces and then re-pressured by IMG.

Actually the albatross is an IMG frigate, according to the mod read-me anyhow.
The only pirate groups that regularly get shot at by the IMG are the corsairs and the outcasts.
The battlestars aren't linked to any faction in the info cards so I've always thought of them as civilian BS's.

Anyways, i think the IMG could snatch a Kusari BS if it joined Kusari in the war.....or give support to it...the BAF doesn`t have to know anything :crazy: :P

I always thought of the battlestars as Zoner ships. Sold at Zoner bases/planets, and not owned by any real faction.
