Why not simply let Cayman be RoS area and remove RoS bases from the other systems? Just because they don't have an official player faction right now doesn't mean that will never happen again, and they still exist inRP. Okay, if there will be made something to let their stations 'disappear' to leave wrecks only, that would be okay - however, that should not begin in Cayman, but only with the stations outside. After all, there are some other factions as well that are still alive but not played by people. Just because some people don't like that lore, doesn't mean they need to completely remove it. Just leave Cayman untouched for now. We should really stop to remove everything that isn't used that much in the moment. After all, it leaves something to explore. RE: Taormina Base, Koeln??? This would resolve the issues with RoS bases in other factions space, and still allow people to explore and understand the RoS lore, and perhaps bring it back. That being said, I would heavily stress that the fcReaper restart be brought back when the faction is brought back, so it is easier for people to join up and participate. RE: Taormina Base, Koeln??? Other factions have taken over what RoS once did. And I think it really is time to stop raising the undead and making them walk again for 3 steps before the collapse again. RoS is gone. The times when it was great are looooooooooong gone. Like: incredibly long. Repurpose the assets. And get rid of those that are not needed any more. Cayman looked neat, had great bases, however also great performance issues. If parts can be reused, good. If not... we won't lose much in reality. RE: Taormina Base, Koeln??? Development unfortunately doesn't control ID's as that is the purview of the Administration Team so there's nothing we can do that we already havn't done for the faction. *shrug* RE: Taormina Base, Koeln??? The reason RoS should be removed at this point is mainly due to the fact the majority of their lore has already been retconned heavily, they're not a vanilla faction, there's hardly anything lost by their removal from the mod. I also still don't understand how a faction that has a world currently in nuclear winter with 500 pop is able to sustain more stations than the SCRA. |
