New Order/BlackSquadron Role Play Rules - Drake - 12-22-2008 I agree with Linkus' suggestions. Just out of curiousity, what's the point of a council which is chosen by the Bs and contains more Bs seats than independents? Even if one seat is just a tiebreaker, this would allow the Bs (if they wished, not saying they do) to push through any command they wanted, or at least any command Wolf wanted (since he's the supreme leader of the Bs, capable of ordering the other Bs council members). Another question: If there's a split discussion thread, why are we all posting here? New Order/BlackSquadron Role Play Rules - Walker - 12-22-2008 ' Wrote:What happened to all the good posts? Didn't need to delete them all. FINALLY! I can actually post to one of your posts... *Warms up the Nukes* *Warning Siren* One of the only problems with that is the fact that the Order is not hardcoded like that, in fact the entire reputation sheet was made up from modding. In fact its hardly in harmony with other reputation sheets... If we where to define that people are to play hardcoded, The Liberty Navy would not be able to attack the Order... And the LSF Would be in Rheinland or who-knows attacking Red Hessians and Corsairs... Do you see what my point is? There is no hardcoded, you might as well join the Administrator's and kill everyone since your rep sheet says that. Moreso, there is more role play then Nomad and BHG NPC's - As a matter of fact the Order deal with the Nomads Indies, the Keepers, the Das Wilde, Nomad Infected Players, the Bounty Hunter's Guild... And if Brian ever gets off his butt, Liberty Navy and Liberty Security Force raids. Oh but, There are Liberty Navy NPCs in Minor, and Order NPC's in Alaska! They where added by mods, The Order are in Alaska due to Nomadic threat in the area, the Navy are in Alaska because Alaska is a Naval Operated System. The so called Idea of your Order Cause is far different then what the Order was... The ORDER was founded for the very safety of the Houses from Alien threats. The Unsung Heroes. Now you say "Order Extreme" - A fanatical group of the Order would not attack Liberty. Unless these members are so Extreme that they cannot differentiate friend from foe that the Order would have, to put them down. The Order would not stand for attacking a House unless it was absolutely necessary. The Order attacked Manhattan to destroy the RNC Donau, which held a Nomad Infested Admiral Schultzky The Order attacked Zone-21 (Albeit Backwards:P) to free Jacobi. The Order attacked Kusari to retrieve the Proteus Tome, and to liberate Tekagi from his mortal alien bounds. The Order attacked Rheinland to halt the production of Nomad Battleships. The Order would not attack a House Military upright, they alway's have a target or a surgical purpose. If you want to play the ORDER how its meant to be... http://www.7crows.com/files/Freelancer%20L...%20Overview.pdf Read that, and enjoy. And apologies if I sounded blunt or rude. Meanwhile despite the fact that A member of Black Squadron was sanctioned for along the lines of the very same reason, there is a line that separates it. What Wolfpack is doing is establishing a border of what is OORP and what is RP. He says "NO TO NEW YORK!" - Sure the Council has command of the Order through democratic vote but... What is there? The Order is THE ORDER... There is no Black Squadron and Independents. The Order, Is the Order. And as such EVERYONE is limited to the Roleplay bounds of the Order. Not the factions, not the Command Council, The Order itself. Thats what the Council does. The rules and etc that they have put down are not the rules of the factions, nor the rules of some other being... Its how the Order is, and we can all agree that if you fly an Order ID, you should roleplay as the Order... Onasidenote: you might as well say that House Laws are oppressive since Virus or Tomo or Unseile or Emperor Whatshisface, can immediately change Liberty Laws to whatever they wish. And All Independants would be required to follow the law. But of course thats just stretching it to far... However, it's not Wolfpack's job, nor his right, to decide what is in-RP or ooRP for the Order, nor is it the job of the Bs or any Order player to enforce the rules. Both of those things are up to the Admins, and in the past they've gotten pretty pissed at players who try to do either. New Order/BlackSquadron Role Play Rules - Walker - 12-22-2008 Thats why he is working with the admins... To draw a line. New Order/BlackSquadron Role Play Rules - Heartless - 12-22-2008 yup, to add the Order is possibly the smallest faction in disco. the entire Order is one fleet and it's imporrible to have a rogue group because they'd be kicked out or killed or something, having a rogue Order group wouldn't make sence in rp and out of rp. Join the xenos if you wanna be a terrorist:D And role playing as the Order is not openly attacking New York, Alaska is ok, but not New York. New Order/BlackSquadron Role Play Rules - Reverend Del - 12-22-2008 Actually were Linkus' edits inserted into this draft, it would be exactly what the Admins and Wolfpack agreed on. That's all there is to it. In fact I can go and edit it now. All done, all ambiguity removed. Bs| and the Command Council do not get to rule over those who do not wish to follow the Council's dictates. I have asked Igiss to make a post in this thread concerning this, hopefully such a post will not be too long in coming. New Order/BlackSquadron Role Play Rules - Drake - 12-22-2008 ' Wrote:Thats why he is working with the admins... Well, if some 'canon RP' is worked out with the admins, that's great. But leaving a non-admin (or council) with the authority to decide 'canon RP' on the spot, and enforce it, isn't so great. That's the only thing I'm worried (though 'worried' is a bit too strong a term) about. New Order/BlackSquadron Role Play Rules - bluntpencil2001 - 12-22-2008 Hmm, so, what has actually changed then? Looks like Black Squadron is the same as always. New Order/BlackSquadron Role Play Rules - Reverend Del - 12-22-2008 What's changed is that if folks want to attack the Liberty Navy they can, without being beaten by the Bs| for following what can be construed as canon RP.
