well 100 is owned by Bs| and I thought faction owning systems can restrict the ships sold in it. (withing rp of course)
But as for these I see it as a decent idea if they had just 1 as a command ship, or like an operating base from where to launch from.
a cruiser and then figthters and bombers, sounds good to me.

Admins have said that factions cannot stop a properly tagged and ID'd player from entering a guard system to buy ships or equipment.

For this group, I would actually go for the Order Light Carrier for a flagship, as it gives them somewhere to dock on their long (presumably) recon missions away from order space. A few gunboats wouldn't be out of place either, I think.

are you trying to create more capwhores out of them?
Stick to the fighters and bombers, a recon cruiser if you absolutely must have a capship (though I was told by the leader, sashet, that they would use a camera ship as their 'cloaked' flagship, and nothing else).

As a capwhore yourself, I believe that was entirely innapropriate.
What's wrong with using a carrier as a carrier? It perfectly suits it's RP use, and the thing is just a cruiser, it's not like I'm reccomending a battleship per man or anything. I'm not even saying they should ever really use it, but having it would work in well with their RP.

I like bombers and gunboats myself, and the new order gunboat looks pretty cool, from the pictures I've seen. Just got a Neppy at the moment though.
I'm all for having a carrier but not using it, really. Using caps on this server is an invatation for other people to blow them up.
EDIT: Also, I've been asked to mention that two of our newly registered members, Seshat and one other who'se offline right now, have apparently been eaten. Is there any way to get them back?

Ah, I can finally post. Thought that waiting period would never end. A great deal of frustration in the waiting.
Everyone, I would like to say that I appreciate the support, though I am not pleased to see that the conversation has turned towards capital vessels as opposed to guiding opinions and suggestions towards the validity of this venture.
If we were to incorporate a cruiser of any type of make into our arsenal in the future, it will be one dictated by the needs of our group to continue the story we wish to tell. At the present there is no such need, nor do I foresee one in the near or even remote future.
To address your concern Stewcool, I believe it would be prudent to wait until we have established a presence on this forum and within the game before inquiring if we will avoid 'getting in trouble'.
Again, thank you for your gracious support. I look forward to associating with you all in space.
