RE: New mods - Euca - 06-16-2017 Best of luck to everyone applying! It's so good to see people wanting to get involved in helping maintain the community! RE: New mods - Zyliath - 06-16-2017 I'd give Karst another chance for the Mod application, as well as people like Tanith and Foxglove to mention a couple. And I'd volunteer myself for the Mod stuff - I have my fair share of Disco knowledge, I know the rules and I could put my experience within the Angels to use in some way. RE: New mods - Backo - 06-16-2017 I've been around for a while now (9 years) and still haven't gotten permabanned, not even once (unlike some people)! That should mean I'm not that bad and can be a mod, right? RE: New mods - Apollon - 06-16-2017 I don't want a wall about why I'd want to be a mod and what I'd be able to offer and whatnot for the 4th time if not more. Sign me up. I also second the previous mentions of Karst, in addition to Foxglove and Zephyranthes (if he signs up). RE: New mods - Sombs - 06-16-2017 I do think Eurobeat is the only good choice. Like, the best mods you can get for the forum are the people who aren't involved in the main stuff at all. Eurobeat is a kind underdog, a funny guy with a good grip on the rules. Everyone else seems to me like they are too controversal, to be honest, and I wouldn't do it myself, nor would I like to see Foxglove having to do those chores as well. I'd generally not vote for faction leaders or engaged faction members as I know pretty well how the lobbying of many people works. People shouldn't aim for too many things at once, I believe. RE: New mods - Kaze - 06-16-2017 Uh.
Sombra. /leaves thread. RE: New mods - Impyness - 06-16-2017 I could probably do a pretty good job at this. I've been around for awhile, seen various teams and their own takes on the rules as well as their mistakes. On the personal level I've always been a level headed dude and no matter what happens it's pretty much impossible for me to be frustrated or to make kneejerk reactions about anything. RE: New mods - Sylvie557 - 06-16-2017 I you ask anyone I talk to often they can confirm I have always been one to say I would never want to be a mod. However, this recent scare with the forums made me realize that I'd prefer for Disco to stick around as long as it can. I know it turned out that it wasn't quite as big of a deal but it made me realize that I am willing to put a bit of effort into keeping the community alive if you will have me. It's up to the staff to decide if I am good mod material but I will just say that I have been around for awhile(admittedly on and off) and while, just like everyone else, I am not immune from frustration and butting heads with other users from time to time, I do think I have always tried to put my biases aside when it comes to the important stuff. Edit: Since we are supposed to be bringing up our positive aspects I guess I should say I was in the Angels faction for a time and I have never been sanctioned(aside from a faction-wide sanction that got reverted). Oh and I have moderated a couple small communities in the past so I am somewhat familiar with moderating forums. RE: New mods - Zynth - 06-16-2017 Karst for mod 2017. Misfit for mod 2017 as well. RE: New mods - thisDerius - 06-16-2017 Name: thisDerius (Derius) Reasons: I think I fully came in touch on how this community works from top to bottom in the past 2 years and I would like to keep it peaceful as much as possible. I am using the forums daily and will be able to keep up with everything that is going on. My votes go to @TheShooter36 and @Corile |
