It is rather sad to see such a mechanic go to waste as POBs allow self-mining in the stead of large/daily mining operations. Adding more sellpoints in general is always a good idea. I'd also suggest giving ores that are very hard to mine such as Iridium a slightly higher profit. RE: Mining Revamp - Sombs - 07-25-2017 Iridium isn't hard to mine anymore, thanks to a base open for everyone in Lost. RE: Mining Revamp - Karst - 07-25-2017 Just a few small things. Premium scrap going to Dortmund and especially Pittsburgh seems like too short a route to me. I strongly object to the Iridium ore buyer moving from Dortmund to Oder. Radiation shielding alloys (which would require Iridium) are ALG's thing and it's pretty essential to our roleplay involvement in the region. I don't know how having Cobalt in Omega-7 and 47 would work, since all buyers would be closer to the O-7 mining location. Anyway, I look forward to getting the final data so I can update my cool mining spreadsheet. Is the suggested field distance from buyer formula still on the table? In the same grain as this, it would be really cool if when you mined the ore dropped in space, and people would have to tractor it. Yes, it makes stealing ore possible, and ore being destroyed would be what bird culture considers a dick move, but it would encourage escorts and rp around the mining, as it creates new ways to interact. |
