RE: Hunting Monsters - Kaze - 06-28-2018 Kaze opened the door and let Lukas exit first. "Because you are starting to trust, Lukas." She slightly bowed. "And trust, if true, it is a good thing indeed." She started to walk down one of the access corridors. "Fair winds, Lukas." RE: Hunting Monsters - Keller - 06-29-2018 At least their meeting had been quick and easy for his weary mind to process. "Auf wiedersehen." The very next thing he'd do is visit a bathroom on the way, which at this hour was absolutely empty. He'd spend a few moments washing his face and then rinsing his mouth before feeling satisfied that he no longer smelled like a cigar. From there, it was just a matter of walking to find where Kira's room was, she had told him the room number when he called her and the deck that it was on. He was a little concerned that he might have been bothering her by asking for a favor such as this, but there was nobody else he trusted here, and he was certainly going to end up dead if he tried to fly back like this. Arriving at the door after what felt like a hazy walk to get there, he'd raise his hand, knocking a few times. RE: Hunting Monsters - Kira - 06-29-2018 Alejandro kept her awake all night, crawling into her bed, playing, wanting attention. Knocks on the door were heard and the already tired Kira walked to open it with Alejandro grabbing her hand. She opened it, her hair a mess and sleepy eyes."Si?" And quite quickly she woke up, her eyes widening in surprise when she saw Lukas with his hand up knocking at air while Alejandro hid behind her legs. RE: Hunting Monsters - Keller - 06-29-2018 Wanting to be polite given his sudden visit, he offered her a faint smile, he realized that this might however seem slightly inappropriate. "I'm sorry to drop by like this. But I'm very tired and I had to come here for a last minute meeting. Now I'm sure that if I tried to fly all the way back to New Moscow, I likely wouldn't make it. I didn't know who else to go to." He noticed movement from just behind her legs and his eyes could just about make out the stature of a small boy with her, the little one was peeping at him all the while but the moment he glanced down towards him, he quickly pulled his back back, keeping it hidden along with the rest of him. But from that brief glance it was easy to see the resemblance between him and Kira, too large of an age-gap for her to be his sister, this had to be her child. "Is it alright if I spend the night here?" He truly didn't want to make this more awkward than it already was, but his choices right now were few and far in-between, she was his only trustworthy option. RE: Hunting Monsters - Kira - 06-29-2018 She stood there, her mind processing Lukas words and when Alejandro moved to hide even further behind her legs, she looked at him and Lukas. She picked up the four year old and hugged him, kissing his forehead, and looked at Lukas, obviously ashamed and thinking on how to proceed. "Lukas. Está everything alright?" She peered through the door to the side, to check if they were alone. "Si Lukas, come in." Alejandro looked at Lukas, hiding behind his mother's hair and whispered something on her ear. Kira leaned to hear and smiled softly. "He's a friend of mama, querido. Nothing to worry about. Come in, Lukas. Perdoname about the mess." She excused herself and gestured to come in. RE: Hunting Monsters - Keller - 06-29-2018 Stepping through the door-way, he'd shut it behind him, making sure it was locked securely before stepping away from it and trying to find a table that wasn't cluttered with toys, so that he could put his helmet down. "Everything's fine, I just needed somewhere safe to sleep for the night, I can't manage flying all the way back to my accommodations on Jiang-Xi." He found a small patch of floor near the cramped sofa in the tiny living space that wasn't littered with toys and placed his helmet there, taking a seat on the couch shortly after he'd gone about the process of unlocking his suit, which would take a solid two minutes to do. Once he was done however, he sat down, left with only his appropriately padded jump-suit. "What's his name?" With her carrying the little boy, he was able to get a clearer look at him, he had her eyes but also a few Rheinlandic features, in fact it was almost uncanny because the boy seemed to have Lukas' type of jaw-line. His suit stood idle and hollow, and he'd place his helmet over the empty hole where his head was supposed to go, making it look as if he'd split his personas in two, leaving the shell of Krsnik standing there and Lukas on the couch. RE: Hunting Monsters - Kira - 06-29-2018 Kira craddled her son and was slightly embarrassed, but there was a man in her couch. One that she did not expected to show. "Alejandro. Mi hijo." She looked at her son and said. "Say hello to Lukas, querido." The young boy waved shyly, and embraced her mother neck once again, yawning somewhat. Kira smiled warmly at the display and spoke to Lukas. "Can you give me ten minutes, so I can put him in bed? He has been up all night." RE: Hunting Monsters - Keller - 06-29-2018 He smiled back to the boy, those green eyes of his softening as he waved back. "Of course, I'll be right here if you want to talk afterwards." Where was the Father? Was this going to be a question he'd regret asking? He couldn't possibly know the answer to either of those questions if he didn't ask. Resolving his mind to the inevitability that this was going to be something that would burn like fire in his ears. He'd wait until she'd finished putting him to sleep and came back to the living room before asking. "Where's his Dad?" His mind braced for the answer, old wounds waiting to be opened, a fury he'd never put to bed himself and a past that drove him to his current state of madness. A tempest stirring in motion, a perfect storm giving way to silence before cracking open the skies and letting loose a calamity. RE: Hunting Monsters - Kira - 06-29-2018 The question hit her like a punch to the stomach. Lukas, it seemed, was not a person to dance around the question. She looked down, and turned her back to Lukas. "I... I don't think you should know, Lukas." Her face slightly turned, just to check if he was still siting on the couch. "We don't even know what this.. us, is." Kira finally turned back to face Lukas. "Perdoname.. I should have said something antes. But.. " RE: Hunting Monsters - Keller - 06-29-2018 He stood up, taking a few steps forward and eliminating the gap between them, using both his hands to take hold of her own. He held them up just enough that she could see the gesture out of the corner of her eyes as he looked rather deeply into hers. "You're important to me, I want to know. I'm not upset that you didn't tell me about him, why would you have? You don't even know me, and I don't know you. But I want us to change that." He had to reinforce the fact that she was safe in being honest with him, letting his thumbs slip over her knuckles, massaging them. It was affection that came naturally and not something he had to tell himself to do. "I trust you, I want you to trust me." He was never one for long complicated words, he preferred to be to-the-point and to say what was on his mind. And as of right now, he needed to know. The fact that she didn't feel like telling him wasn't a good sign, but being close to her again made the knot in his gut fade. He couldn't be angry, not when she was looking at him like that. |
