| LESSON ABOUT SPORTSMANSHIP - Linkus - 02-15-2009 Respect and trust are rare commodities here in Discovery. Trust tends to corrode usually if you start to worry about people having characters in different factions etc. In reality if you raise issues about one character, the player that owns it should be held responsible no matter how friendly you are with them. Of course you can allow things to slide sometimes, if no one raises the issue etc or there isn't a danger of it causing harm to others gameplay. Respect wise, people fling insults here as casually as they breathe. Still, that is to be expected in a larger community but Disco tends to actually favour elitism etc, which helps fuel these things. And Patriot, as Joe said, respect is the subject of this topic. If that fails to quell your anger, remember that this is not a free world with free speech. This server is owned by an Admin (With the other Admins working with him etc, you get my meaning) and so can dictate what is allowed and not allowed on it. LESSON ABOUT SPORTSMANSHIP - Bauer - 07-07-2009 Well, because of recent events, topics about ganking etc, I feel that this deserves a bump. It's a great post from king. Everyone should take a read of this. (and yes, I'm aware the last post was about 5 months ago) LESSON ABOUT SPORTSMANSHIP - n00bl3t - 07-07-2009 I think I already responded on that forum. LESSON ABOUT SPORTSMANSHIP - AdamantineFist - 07-07-2009 Oh, this one's brilliant, Monsieur Vaillant. Definitely the way everyone should act. Personally, I've always tried to do this, and I think that if everyone did, then Disco would become an infinitely better place. |
