I went with 0%. Being outnumbered doesn't really say much, as lots of other groups are the same.
Though I suppose some non-straightforward things would be good. They already have quite good ships, but things like speed and range boosts for their guns doesn't seem too out there.
Of course, if their big thing is stopping trade to weaken the Houses, what do they need things for? This is a great time for me to mention my one idea: a CD that does shield damage, that'd be something!

Zero, SCRA is outnumbered all the times and yet we don't get ships with better stats, sure our ships look better than everyone elses, imo, XD.
But yeah, we're ountumbered and usually outgunned, we don't get any better, so...neither should the phantoms or anyone else.

wut? outnumbered - and then what. every faction are outnumbered from time to time, and every faction (yes, including phantoms, and even SCRA, sometime, but rarely) are outnumbering from time to time.

Heh. Weird poll to be honest. I mean, some factions already have better ships/guns then others.
For example, Kusari and Blood Dragons already have some 40% better equipment then, say, Rogues.
All in all, I don't think they should have the best weapons and guns.
Being a phantom is already a big thing. They already have some advantages over the rules.
Now, I'v seen like 100 discussions, pvp whoring versus exceptional RP.
If they do want better equipment then they are just burying themselves.
I really think they should be the first ones to complain about better equip they got in 4.85.
If they don't, then everyone has the right to call them simple pvp whores.
Much more then in 4.84, where they used Catamarans, Taiidans, Sabres, whatever.
Simply put, it's already a big thing to have something of your own (ships, guns).
Don't push it too far.
0%. I predict flames trough whole 4.85 concerning this. Please avoid it and make them in line with others.

I dunno. 0-5%. Skill makes up for discrepancy in numbers more than hardware, and the Raven Claw is a beast of a ship to begin with.
On a personal note, I'm anxious to come across certain Phantoms now that they're not just going to fling every explosive they have at my characters because I favor vanilla ships. :P

Obviously we have to get rid of the Phantoms, there is no way for us to do anything without being attacked for it. Choppers previous post points to the reason. In 4.84 we were attacked for using other peoples ships, we then asked for our own ship line, but no modeler wanted to make them, so ships were assigned to us because they didn't really fit elsewhere in the mod(Ask how many of us wanted the Huntress). We were attacked for using other people's weapons, so we get our own weapons and we are attacked by people. I find it interesting that the Nomads have by far the best weapons in the game, but I have yet to see a thread complaining about it. Where is that thread? Screw it, just give us water guns and starfliers, because that is what so many people here want. I always do wonder why the Phantoms get so much grief, when other factions with similar benifits do not.

Zelot, we both know there were thousands of threads against Nomad superiority in 4.84.
I was the first one to open a few of them. Ask Treewyrm if you don't believe me.
I also opened a few threads against Outcasts too, with Sabre being uber and Kraken being the best weapon by far.
Now, problem happens when Phantoms themselves are asking for better equipment with reasons like "we'r always outnumbered".
Just take a look at your own message dump. You'll find numerous fights in new york where Dboy (Desecrator,lol) and others were fighting in like 1:4 relation.
And guess who won almost every time? Yep.
Rampages, Chuck Norrises etc etc.
Catamarans, Sabres, Taiidans, some of the best pilots vs Capital ships, Guardians, Havoc's and beginner pilots.
Simply put, you don't need superior weapons. You really don't.
You will just make a problem for yourselves, and get a very small advantage you don't really need.
So, the only real way to avoid a year of flames is to give up on those advantages.
I don't really care, I fought Sabres in a Titan and BD HF's in a Viper, never really complained.
You just don't need it.

I happen to know for a fact, it doesnt matter what advantages we get, people are going to flame us. It is the way it has always been, I am sure it is the way it will aways be. These weapons or ships dont have any effect on people flaming the Phantoms.
Edit: Unsille, I think the Nomads need the better weapons, so no, I wont back you up, but that wasnt really my point. Seems the Nomads just have better PR than the Phantoms, SCRA too really.

I'd argue that the phantoms have better PR. The Nomads just made me not want to try and discuss it. That's horrid public relations....Course, guys, this was a long time ago....so was the last phantom flame.
