We are discussing a colony ship design for randoms living at the edge of civilized space, not a sleeper ship design for the major nations/houses. Keep that in mind.
That was made for reference. Redesignings shouldn't affect much ship stats, that was my message.

Responded.

I quite like the general blocky, utilitarian style of the fearless dessies and the Aquilon. They should be the ones geared the most towards warfare (out of all zoner ships) and feel like it when you look at them as they're the ones sorta designed towards that role for zoners.

perhaps a less menacing and more liner-esque style for the neph being a colony ship, with a similar turret loadout like the bustard and the old carrier loadout style. Enough to defend itself but not enough to take it farming nom caps or anything.

As for the rest of the shipline, something fitting the zoner aesthetic.

I still like the models Jinx made a couple of years back. While they were intended as transports, they still could serve quite well as capital ships.
And they look quite utilitarian and blocky, just the way I like em. It also fits the boxyness of the Osprey we got now.

Neph, GB, CR, Aquilon

I think those look a little too Warhammer 40K.

Nope, I fully disagree. Those look more like Homeworld and Babylon 5. Warhammer has a lot, a lot more aggression and gothic (especially) in it. Those designs are just utilitarian.

Edit: Maybe Neph's front profile is a bit too menacing, but nothing unfixable.

Replies are rather controversial on some points, but overall I can see where it goes. Will require some analysis later on.

@Swallow: Thank you for this survey option.

Concerning the Zoner ship line, specifically battleships: if the Nephilim is relegated to the role of a glorified liner (after all it's colony ship), then there should be a valid BS option for Zoner players. And by valid I mean a heavy battleship.
