Buenas!

My first patrol in the upper Taus was fruitful. Found a a large Zoner ship with "Maroon Whale" callsign, carrying 5000 units of "Knock-Down Kits" from Tau-44 towards Omicron Alpha and the cargo's final destination was Omicron Mu, Taba Starbase. Based on the Zoner's confession, this is an Order controlled space and station, so I taxed the Zoner for 7 million credits. Tried to ask the purpose of the cargo, but answer from the Zoner was utterly useless, so further investigation is recommended. It's also worth to warn other patrolling units of Genoa, Malta, Ibiza and Ruiz to tax this cargo before it leaves our space to hostile area or even stop it completely so we can slow down or completely stop the currently unknown project of Order.

Greetings.

As many of you already know a small station was recently discovered in the Serian Dust Cloud, directly impacting a key trade route between Planet Malta and Gen'an Chrysanthemum operations in Shikoku. At the behest of the GC matriarch, we deployed Reconquista and Susurro del Vacio to assist in the removal of the station.

Several independent outcast vessels joined us, along with GC elements, and several warships of the Rose Dragons sect of the Blood Dragons.

Despite the accidental movement of the station, it ended up being heavily defended by the naval lapdogs, and reinforced with additional armor and defenses. Several days of fierce battle followed, until late last night we gained control of the area and began a prolonged bombardment.

I am happy to report that together we have successfully removed the station and that trade with our allies is once again unobstructed.

Such a massed deployment shows the possible strength of the Outcasts, the Gen'an Chrysanthemums, and their allies when working together. I believe it could be in our interest to explore a warmer approach to the Rose Dragons, as we could gain much from coordinating against our common foes.

It has been some time since we made a journey into Liberty space, with these numbers. It is a never-ending conflict in there, we win and lose some.

Yesterday, our fleet arrived near the Manhattan defense grid, in New York system. We received a warm welcome from Liberty Navy, mostly from the 46th Fleet. In this engagement we stood together with several Outcasts, a couple of them with GS| designation. We did not have time to introduce ourselves, but they showed proficiency in combat, proving that they could be valuable assistance for the next battles to come. Our ships took the fight close to Manhattan’s orbit and we crushed the Liberty fleet decisively.

Unfortunately, the tides of war did not favor us again today. Our Maltese fleet reassembled for another attack, composed by the battlecruisers HS>Campeador, HS>MNS-Katania, HS>Santiago-Compostela and dreadnought HS>Susurro-del-Vacío; a couple of GS| vessels: GS|MNS-Castrovillari and GS|Soprano-> and Legión Maltesa L\-MNS-Asuncion. In this occasion, the so-called lawfuls came in bigger numbers. Furthermore, Bounty Hunters and even Xenos appeared to assist the Liberty Navy. These unsettling developments set a precedent to take notice in further onslaughts. Ultimately, the Xenos rushed into our position, near the defense grid once again, but their coordinated bomber swarm put us in a disgraceful situation. My ship suffered massive damage and we were taken out of combat, so we retreated.

During these times, Liberty seemed quite enough to deploy our Orange spreading massively, but the recent fleet movements say otherwise. Time will tell for what comes next.

As a side note, during a patrol in Tau-37, I have made contact with an Artificial Intelligence vessel named A773-C. When I arrived, it was scanning an Outcast trader, Desafortunado; it did not show hostility. Considered as no real threat, we let them intact, and we started to develop a more fruitful communication from both sides. Before we could have departed to our own ways, an IMG fighter arrived, IMG-Thorgrim.Stormaxe, but he also was no threat to us, so we did not bother ourselves with such peskiness.

Greetings Alphas. The Campeador has just returned from an expedition into Brettonia, with the goal of locating and retrieving experts for knowledge transfer and intelligence assessments. The following is a detailed report on the expedition, our findings, and potential next steps.

We received our orders early on 05/19/828 from Alpha Montalban, and immediately made preparations to depart, doing so late on the same day. In orbit we encountered a Gen`an vessel, the Fuyuzora. We exchanged pleasantries and with no reports of hostiles, went our separate ways. We departed Omicon Alpha for Brettonia, passing through Tau-37, Tau-23, and Tau-31 without issue.

We crossed the border into Brettonia, entering Leeds with no response from Brettonian defenders and from there proceeding into New London. Once in-system, we began moving down the trade lanes, inspecting merchant traffic. We found no signs of VIP transports until reaching the vicinity of Planet New London itself. Once there, we did detect an armored transport belonging to OSC with a VIP on board. Braving the planetary defense grid, we managed to intercept and destroy the vessel, tractoring our target aboard before retreating.

After interrogation, our captive revealed themselves to be a Mr Reginald, a mid level executive from BMM in their ship design department. We did, however, unfortunately receive significant damage from the defensive grid, and had to seek repairs. To our fortune, a local band of the Molly pirates in the Cambridge system were pleased enough with our actions against Brettonia to sell us some replacement hull panels. So we proceeded through Cambridge to Lisburn Rock for repairs.

While repairs were underway, we interrogated some of the OSC crew members we brought aboard with Mr Reginald. Before they died, they revealed two potential locations where we might find more vacationing VIPs. The first is Luxury Liner Shetland in the Poole system, the other is Planet Curaco in the Cortez System. With our armor repaired, we departed Lisburn Rock for Poole.

Once in system, we easily located the Shetland over planet Broadstone. In close succession we caught several shuttles, and even a luxury yacht, facing only light defenses. We left the Shetland with 14 additional guests, among them a retired electrical engineer from Ageira, several socialites, a libertonian actress, and a lead engineer from BMM. It seems that Mr Reginald will have company on our way home.

We departed Pool for Curaco, taking a circuitous route in case the Brettonians had been alerted by the Shetland. From Pool we travelled through Dublin, and thence to Edinburgh. We passed Planet Gaia on our way through the system, and the rumors are right, she is a beauty. To my surprise, they seem to be under new management, and even let us moor for a short time.

I lead a small team down to the surface, and acquired some of the local wildlife for study. Something about Gaia reminds me of home.

Nostalgia behind us, we departed. Continuing through Tau-31 to Coronado, and thence to Cortez. While the jump hole is situated very close to planet Curaco, the planet itself is too heavily defended for easy pickings. We managed to intercept only a single shuttle, and a Luxury Yacht managed to escape under the cover of the defensive turrets. Nevertheless Mr Arakawa, a low level Samura executive has joined the rest of our “passengers.” While Mr Arakawa doesn’t have much to interest us, I imagine that the Gen`an would enjoy having a word with him.

We returned to Coronado, and entered formation with the Bastia, which is currently stationed in that system.

Running low on fuel, we departed Coronado for home. We encounted a zoner vessel, the Hfaistos, as we left the Bastia. They weren't very communicative, but completely unthreatening. After uneventful trip through Tau-31, Tau-23, and Tau-37, we finally returned home.

In total, we secured 16 VIPs, several of whom can provide us with useful information, 50 specimens of interesting wildlife, and some assorted commodities and slaves. In exchange we significant damage from the Planet New London defense grid.

I recommend we launch follow-up expeditions, particularly targeting the Luxury Liner Shetland. While Planet New London is heavily defended, the Brettonian military seems either unable or unwilling to respond to infiltration. For follow-up missions, however, I recommend a smaller vessel. Campeador's evasion options would have been limited if attacked by bombers or gunboats. I believe El Cid would fit the role excellently, especially with her cloaking device, however she is still docked at Kinkaku-ji awaiting engine work.

Let me introduce myself briefly and talk about my work. I am the only son of Cpt. Medellin Mazepin. I am destined to carry on the reputation and pride of our family and my father. After my family provided unlimited financial support I began to work to the honor of the Malta Hyperspace Starfleet to the best of my ability. The way of Cardamine has given me a talent which I can use to build relationships and get information from all the living people of Sirius. This is called espionage by many but I prefer not to use this degradation for my art of intel and sabotage techniques. I will seize every technological and engineering opportunity to help the fleet move forward. I hope the work I do will help to make "Orange Dream" one step ahead of enemy forces and reach its goal! I would like to report my first two agency jobs to the Fleet Command. Traders often across Tau regions but one Bretonian Captain transports a remarkably large amount illegally in the areas we control. His name is Alan.Walcott. It is mostly well hidden and difficult to access. A real rat. In Tau 29, thanks to the willing help of a freelancer, we managed to reduce the trader’s presence. For a fee, he provided important information about movements in this region. This relationship may be important and useful to us in the future. Successful Cardamine trade routes and shipments, and the safety of the movement of our ships, is the merit of a sacrificial reconnaissance job. We work on this with all my agents all day and all night! Using 3rd party we can approach the targets in an incognito and for sure, or just neutralize using 3rd party. The spy in the report is useful to us. I registered as a suitable partner for further contributions. If a double information leak occurs, the spy will be eliminated immediately.

In the following, I present the Infiltration into Liberty with experimental cardamine obtained from Professoressa. Since the purpose of the mission was secret I needed a professional smuggler who didn't ask about my Cardamine. For me there is nothing more reliable than Los Zenos Cartel smugglers. Don Antuan Cabrero proved its greatness. He escorted me to my goal professionally and purposefully without unnecessary questions. Sacrificial and strong character. A real hombre who knows no fear. Cartel’s service in preparing the ground could be vital in the future. The success of our fleet can be helped by the informations and the experiences gained during their long voyages. I have studied their behavior and based on the intels I am already working on the perfect route behind the lines of our enemies. With the obtained coordinates, we can travel in hyper space without knowing fear. Liberty is being mapped for our tasteand the enemy ships are being fully scanned and documented. We arrive purposefully and unexpectedly. None of those opposed to the Orange way are safe.
I brought slaves back as a gift for everyone. Receive them with much love from my family. We hope they will serve our plans well and work diligently.

Good Evening.

I have just received some interesting news. Today I received temporary command of the Caballero, due to the ongoing refit of El Cid, and embarked on a short shakedown patrol of the Shikoku system. While over Planet Junyo I detected a freelancer transport carrying Sorted Artifacts. I gave chase, following them through to Kepler, and then back into Shikoku before their engines were drained and I had them cornered. Since they were a freelancer pilot, I figured they had no bonds of loyalty to their source, so I interrogated them as to the source of the artifacts.

True to my suspicions, they readily revealed the location, the Luxury Liner Hawaii in Sigma 17. I believe this bears looking in to, especially given Captain Fernandez's recent success in capturing VIPs from the Shetland in Poole.

I propose an expedition to locate the Hawaii, and see what can be gained from her.

I am pleased to inform you, my dear firends, that the development of the laboratory has reached another stage. (References: Orange Dream) After the elements requested in the second part were delivered and equipments were successfully installed we could start "in vitro" experiments in the laboratory. Special thanks to the Los Zenos Cartel, Gen'an Chrysanthemums and Junker Congress for helping us with their outstanding work as expected. If our plan is successful they can benefit as VIPs in the beautiful moment of the rise of Sirius to a new level.

The first experimental block of the laboratory is already operational: Botanical and Biochemical Laboratory. A Botanical Experiment on Plants of the Cardamine Family is underway. The goal is to develop the most concentrated and efficient plant family and increase plant viability. Based on our results, we established a biodome under created conditions. The stability of the free chemical radicals that determine Cardamine can be maximized in vacuum tubes, with a 1.2% reduction of atmospheric pressure, constant heat of 20-25 ° C and 15.000 lux it seems ideal for the plant families I have chosen. I compared the data to the natural site, Planet Malta conditions. The good news is that based on these results, there is additional potential in the plant that could indicate further use of Cardamine. What remains controversial is the biological effect, side effects of the higher concentrations, and stability of the molecule in an "in vivo" environment.

Why is it important to maximize the bioactivity of cardamine?
I can answer this question in detail when we can already do human experiments, but first, under laboratory conditions, with individual stimulation of various human tissues. Of course, by then, the molecule with effective and adequate bioactivity will be ready. In organisms, live human experiments start after these results. Based on the basic theory we are looking for a protein-activating RNA molecule that increases telomerase activity in various human cells and tissues and reduces the aging of cells and tissues, slowing down programmed cell death. By complete sequencing of the protein molecule and decoding of the ribonucleotides we can learn about the biological effects of the coding one by one in DNA. Our research actually begins here. Here we intervene with genetic engineering and genetic surgery to eliminate the unfavorable effects and elements and to maximize the potentials that Cardamine can provide.

For this, however, we need further development of the laboratory. Nanotechnology development. Near our basic equipment, we need the elements marked in the third phase to achieve technological advancement for further research.

Yesterday, myself and Alberto Cruz undertook a series of expeditions into Planet Knossos to harvest and transport Xeno Relics. Following our previous expedition, we found that not only do Xeno Relics have some very interesting electromagetic and spatial displacement properties (when exposed to sufficiently energized photons), but even the scientifically illiterate will pay handsomely for them. So, as part of the effort to finance the outfitting of HS>Babilonia, we undertook an effort to transport several thousand units to a buyer in Shikoku.

The first run went off well, netting a solid profit for the fleet. On the second run, however, we were intercepted by the kusari ship SC-Zuiryu.

This wasn't any normal police or navy ship, however, it belonged to the Shinamori Clan. Despite having police equipment, it was not an official police vessel. Nevertheless they felt empowered to enforce their so called "laws". Special commendation to Senor Cruz, who managed to evade interception and complete his delivery. My vessel, however, was hit by cruise disruptors and unable to escape. (Note to the design bureau: can we find a place to mount a countermeasure dropper on the Aspis?)

Interestingly, the kusari vessel did not destroy me. Instead they insisted I drop the cargo, and proceed to Tau-23. I attempted to negotiate passage, but was unsuccessful. Outgunned and unable to escape I was unfortunately forced to comply.

After returning to Planet Knossos, we managed a third cargo run. This time we evaded any interception.

In summary, transporting Xeno Relics seems to be a solid potential income source, as long as we can avoid the local "authorities".

Report: Preliminary Report on Response of Crystalline Artifacts to Photon Stimulation

We have identified two main types of crystalline artifacts from Planet Knossos. They have distinct densities and colors, which we have designated as Type A and Type B crystals.
We exposed samples of both Type A and Type B crystals to focused photon stimulation, using lasers of a range of wavelengths. Each crystal type reacted differently to photon stimulation, but both have interesting possibilities.

Our initial experiment on the Type A crystal was to determine its transparency to a range of wavelengths. We found the crystal to be perfectly transparent at wavelengths below 0.1 nm. However, we noticed a peculiar heat spike on the detector when stimulating the sample with light at 0.01 nm.

Upon recalibration of the receivers, we detected that instead of the lasers being even slightly attenuated by passing through the sample, they actually increased in power. Reaching a peak increase of 250% at 0.01 nm. This was not just a monetary aberration, we sustained the reaction for an hour before halting the experiment to analyse the sample.

Scanning electron microscopy and non-baryonic holography revealed a degradation in the crystal lattice after prolonged exposure to high energy photons.

We then performed a prolonged exposure of the same sample to lasers at 100 nm. We expected an increase of temperature in the sample, as the sample is only 50% transparent at that wavelength. However, the temperature of the sample only rose slightly. After an hour we halted the experiment and examined the sample again.

We noticed a 10% recovery in the previously damaged crystal lattice. After exposing the sample to 100 nm lasers for an additional 9 hours, the crystal lattice was restored to 97% integrity.

We believe that the Type A crystal has practical potential as a sort of photonic battery. The lattice can store energy at an incredibly high energy density, charged and discharged by varying the wavelength of light input.

After the promising results of the Type A crystal, we repeated the experiments with the Type B crystal, and found no corresponding remission reactions. After further experiments, however, we did find an effect on the Higgs field.

Stimulating Type B crystals with lasers of varying power and wavelength, we were able to measure a range of perturbations in the Higgs field. Reaching a peak of 1,446 micro Huygens at 430 kW of 0.01 nm light. As you know, Higgs field perturbation is an essential component to hyperspace rift formation.

I don’t believe the peak reaction of Type B crystal at 0.01 nm is a coincidence. Instead I think that the Daam K’Vosh created these materials specifically to be used in conjunction.


Implications
Through a combination of Type A and Type B crystals, we can efficiently create a powerful Higgs field perturbation in a compact device, far in advance of current jump drive technology.
Using the power of a small capital ship reactor we can stimulate the Type A crystal at 0.01 nm, and use the boosted power output to energize the Type B crystal to form a hyperspace rift. The Type A crystal would be degraded by this process, especially at the high power levels required for a practical jump drive. Regenerating the crystal is indeed possible, but it would be a lengthy process potentially requiring on-shore facilities.

More research is needed.

Omicrons are a space of opportunities and new horizons. During a journey into the unknown, after an uneventful trip through Omicron Delta, we made contact with an interesting gathering in Omicron Kappa, involving several Zoner and AI ships.

Capitán JJ Mathers, commanding the Flash Magnus, was pleased by our arrival and the results of previous trading business between us. On the contrary, another Zoner in the area, FZS-Olivia.Levasseur, was disgusted by our presence; the captain showed biased preconceptions about our methods. Furthermore, this crew in particular did everything right to be worthy of destruction, rejecting the slavery we maintain in our society, justifying it as supposed opportunism from our part. Fortunately to them, we were already occupied starting communication procedures with a more open-minded kind, the Artificial Intelligence.

Mainframe Moebius, an AI cruiser, recognized itself as Emissary of The Central Core. Followed by Subnode Ava, they proclaimed to be establishing relations with the nearby entities and executing exploration routines. Moebius was particularly dedicated to make diplomatic moves, starting a similar human dialogue with us; meanwhile Ava seemed to be undertaking scanning and reconnaissance duties.
