'Sup, Kurt here.

Who's done an entire lap around the Sirius sector looking for prey and not finding shit? That's right, we did.

We set off towards Bretonia, went past Freeport 1 and into Cambridge, then into New London and Leeds, marveling at how dead everything is. It's like the Bretonians have decided to take a day off collectively and all at once.

Going up through the Taus, we entered Kyushu, then some bounty hunters from that Aegis group caught up to us when the Grumbler had a power outage. I don't know how long they've followed us, but then they just decided to... let us go barely saying anything? Okay, then. Maybe something in the Kusari laws says they can't hunt there or something. Good to know.

Then we went towards Sigma-13 and back into Rheinland. It wasn't until New Berlin that Durandana caught sight of an Ageira transport headed for Hamburg and managed to catch it. Good job.

We started discussing the 'shipping fee', but the merchant was clearly stalling until a bounty hunter showed up - one of those Hitmen. We gave the guy plenty of time to consider our offer, but he chose to rely on the protection of a lone hunter against four pirates, which, if my math is correct, makes me question his business sense.

Well, he can think about his entrepreneurial choices from the confines of his escape pod as we made quick work of his tub, scooped up whatever we could, and ran off before the hunter had a chance to do anything. There was also a freelancer transport in the area, but he was empty and we decided not to bother.

We headed home after that and got back to Ithaca with no further incident. Now we have some unusual cargo to deal with. Oh well. I'm sure there's a buyer for this stuff somewhere.

That's it for now. Kurt out.

'Sup.

Got another contract thrown our way. This one's a smuggling job for you, d'Aubigny. You gotta procure 500 units of Nox and stash them here on Ithaca for the buyer to pick up - reckon you can get this done?

And Maija, that cargo we nabbed in the last run is still collecting dust in the hold since the 'accident'. I'd set up some kind of deal, but I've had it up to here with smug Libertonians. Do me a favor and get in touch with the Lane Hackers, see if they'll take it off our hands.

Thanks.

Kurt out.

We ain't happen to have any more jobs brewin' out there do we Kurt? Things been quiet recently, we've sat on our spoils. Got the feelers out for somethin' ?

I might have a leg in with some Zoner types up in the Taus, I'm headin' back out that way, will be radio silent while I slip through the usual routes. Need to see what else they're up to, might have somethin' fancy for us and our flagship. Must say too, they're damn decent guides y'know, learnin' this place pretty well now.

Make sure the Lady brings back some croissants, I'm starvin'.

Keep me posted,
Maija.

Bonjour mes amis

Nox. Merde. At least its not Cardamine.

Alright, i'll take a trip to Gallia and meet a couple of Corse that i'm familiar with. Been meaning to take a trip up there anyway, got a couple other inquiries to attend to.

Engineers will have the freighters engine serviced and ready to go within the day.

Back and Gleaming.

Mes amis, i am back.
Been a bit since i braved the run from Omega to Gallia... Longer since i met with any of the Corse.
I'll spare you the details on the flight up, it was uneventful.
I stopped off at a facility on Marseille to get the goods. Had a talk with a local shipper. Turned out he had an eye for some Kusari craftsmanship, and i had a desire for something a little more homely. We swapped ships, Anki for an Aurochs. It is a nice ship.

The flight home was similarly uneventful, the routes are quiet, for now. There was little to mention.
Have either of you ever stopped by Leeds? You should some time. The view is... Nevermind.
Met up with Kurt back in home territory. Back to Ithaca, safe and sound. The nebula looks so drab compared to the bright colours of my home. Alas, as is all contrast between Sirius and Gallia, oui~?

The goods are stowed, safe and sound.
Oh, and Maija~ Wether you spoke in jest or not, i did, infact, acquire some croissants. And a few other choice items for the crew, out of pocket no less. They can thank me later~

'Sup, Kurt here.

We're back in business. We've managed to score a heavy blow against the Corsairs, maybe the heaviest we've dealt them so far. Gotta be honest, I didn't expect much success when my scouts reported a large Corsair convoy in Omega-48.

But such a brazen attempt to move cargo near our hideout could not go unchallenged, so I led a strike group to remind them that they are not in charge around here.

The strike group exited Walker Nebula by Planet Rabat and established visual contact with the Corsair fleet. A short verbal exchange followed - mostly threats and vague promises of tribute for helping them. I always find those funny - did they forget who we are? Anyway, they refused to pay the toll, as always, so we engaged.

The Red Hessians showed up, looking to pick a fight with the Corsairs as well. But by the time the bulk of their fleet arrived, we had already cleaned things up.

After the fight, the Red Hessians had some words for us.

I don't know if I believe all this, but having some of their tech would let us fight our war on a more even footing. Having access to proper dockyards would be great for our flagship, as well. Can't help but feel we'd be giving up more than just credits if we agreed to it, though.

So let's think about it first.

Kurt out.

Alright then.

Looks like the Corsairs aren't as attached to their Knossos artifact scavenging operation as I thought. The plan was to sneak in, grab as much as we could find, and escape with the loot when the enemy sent someone in to investigate the ruckus.

RAVE was supposed to guard our little convoy but ended up causing some sort of massive distraction that occupied Corsair patrols elsewhere. We infiltrated Knossos low orbit and commenced recovery operations with no trouble. We managed to fill both our transports' holds in about thirty minutes - which is as long as I was willing to stay anyway.

Linking up with RAVE, we retreated to Omega-55 and smuggled out our shipment to a buyer on Fontana through the now-familiar Bering pipeline. Looks like the Liberty Navy was busy with some kind of massive crackdown operation in Pennsylvania - we encountered no obstructions on our path.

This is still an insignificant dent in Crete's income, but going after its source is a step up from hunting their convoys all over the sector. We keep this up, we might take over a chunk of their exclusive market. Still, gotta wonder about the lack of response from the Cretans. If they haven't realized they're at war yet, we're just going to have to hit them harder.

Hey.

Been a rough few weeks. Most ships are still in drydock, working on their refits. Profit's low but steady. Had some successful 'solicitations' and some not so much. Nothing notable though - what really made my week was some Rheinwehr glory hound splattering his bomber all over the Amnestie's hull yesterday. Almost made up for my own brand-new custom-built bomber getting wrecked by the BAF on its first mission - which is a story of its own.

Anyway, before I get sidetracked. So there I was, minding my own business, trying to get home from New Berlin when suddenly some RM loudmouth drops out of a trade lane with lethal intent. We tried hailing him and he made it clear that he wasn't interested in philosophical discourse.

Chased my ship all the way to the Omegas and, when it was clear we got away, he withdrew and started trying to goad me by yelling insults over the comm. It was bizarre. No professionalism; no respect for the enemy, and I don't mean his lack of manners or anything like that, but more like his lack of battlefield risk assessment skills. You know, 'Is this a good time to attack this target?' type of thing.

Then again, asking that question would require basic cognitive ability, and whatever the Academy does nowadays seems to extract that and replace it with propaganda. It's like trying to reason with a cardboard cutout.

We debated a stop at Ithaca for basic repairs, but I elected to return to New Berlin to the location where we first encountered the Rheinwehr bomber without delay. Sure enough, the guy reappeared without any reinforcements and charged us head-on.

The Amnestie's shields took a hit from a pair of Nova torpedoes, but a couple of Razor volleys crippled the enemy ship - props to the gunnery crew - and must have caused an ordnance malfunction, as he ejected from a disintegrating hulk about 20 seconds into the skirmish.

I mean, can't fault the guy, really. He did manage to disable our bridge. Mostly because we were pissing ourselves laughing for a few minutes, but still.

I debated tractoring him in but decided to leave him for the RM to pick up. Keeping such pilots alive and active makes our job a hell of a lot easier. Would love to hear his report to his CO on how he let a pirate frigate escape twice and lost his own ship in the process, though.

Sometimes I miss the military life - and then something like this happens to remind me why a sane man should stay as far as humanly possible.

The Amnestie made it back safe and sound and will soon be ready for more operations.

Kurt out.
