Ok, seeing as some people are getting stuck at the first hurdle:

M1-0 Admins 100%
M2-9 Admins 100%
M3-8 Admins 100%

M6-0 Admins 100%
M7-0 Admins 100%

You are looking for a series of POBs.
Each one then gives clues to the location of the next.
No two Bases are in the same system.

Your best friend for this is:
https://space.discoverygc.com/navmap/
and then your brain.

Don't try to think too deep in to the puzzles, as you will probably end up 'kicking' yourself when you see the solutions.

I spent a lot of time thinking of the Event and then about 6 hours setting it all up.

So don't expect to finish it in a couple of hours, unless you are extremely clever/lucky.

I do believe 3 people are trying to solve the clue to the 3rd Base and at least 5 people have got past the first Base (things may of changed overnight).

Like a good puzzle, it should be frustrating but fun and the euphoria/kicking oneself when you solve part of it, is enjoyable.

I know that this kind of Event isn't everyone's 'cup of tea' but there again, not everyone enjoys Trade Events or Combat Events.

I can't even find M1 for starters, despite aaaaaaaaaaall the clues, lol
I'm not even mad, I'm disappointed in me

RE: Treasure Hunt Event - St.Denis - 10-07-2022

Ok. Clues to help you get past first base (pardon the pun):

Space is 3 dimensional, so stop thinking 'on the plane'.
He was a pirate, so his Base(s) wouldn't be sat in 'plain' sight.
What do you need to be able to dock on a POB, if it is Hostile? The Base has an Admin IFF so that rules out ID/IFF.

People appear to be thinking too deeply for the solutions. Always try the easiest solutions first, you might be surprised.
The clues will point to, generally, something that highlights what you are looking for.

this event was created to solely test the IQ of the community and no one can convince me otherwise

Ah dammit. I was expecting it to be on the plane. Scouted the entire system... on the plane.

Thanks again, St.Denis, for the help. I'm feeling, a bit ashamed.

IQ means Intelligence Quotient. This was not the original term for it. The IQ test is not a test of intelligence but logic. In 1905, psychologists Alfred Binet and Théodore Simon designed a test for children who were struggling in school in France. Designed to determine which children required individualized attention, their method formed the basis of the modern IQ test.

In Australia, the IQ of Aboriginals is very low. This is not because they are unintelligent but because have not been exposed to logic puzzles. When they do a standardized test they are only comparing those who have exposure to logic puzzles against those who don't have that experience. If you have a deprived education, you are deprived of the experience of solving logic puzzles. When exposed to logic puzzles, those who were previously tested with low IQ suddenly find themselves well into the normal range. There is no evidence for a genetic component behind IQ differences between racial groups.
