| Oliver listened attentively what Duke was talking about. He understood that Secunda was not in the norms alike the other Makos. Secunda's ship profile was also badly documented for some reasons that he was not aware. Probably because of the higher commands that preferred that way. Alike Mars, it was another tentative to make profit with A.Is- again. With Mars that went rogue, Secunda was also at risk, like in the beginning of June. But how about now? Oliver Taylor was sure that there was no more Artificial Intelligence since Subject-A001 was offline. While he was thinking, Zoe Williams, the scientist in chief onboard of Secunda decided to speak. ''Sir, if I may, I do understand all the protocols that Secunda needs to follow. We arrived here on the 9th of the month.'' She paused, taking a moment to come up with something. ''The A.I that was onboard was shut down. While it did took control of the engine and the jump drive, we managed to force it back into its 'jail'. There is no more risk.'' Oliver rose an eyebrow to what Zoe said and he sighed. He then took his turn to speak. ''Duke, I understand all what you say. However, while I do agree to run some diagnostics, the ship is totally out of control of any Artificial intelligence. The security firmware was updated recently from what Zoe's assistant told me.'' Just after he finished to say what he had to say, Zoe spoke again. ''Right, as said commander Taylor, my assistant updated the firmware with my aid. I can certify there will be no issue.'' |

Duke stays silent for a moment before responding, not sure if the Secunda is truly safe. "Are you certain that this "security firmware" is enough to stop any further take overs?" Before he lets anyone answer, he keeps talking.
"What I come here to suggest, is an anti-override system targeted towards the AI. If it makes any move that is not considered to be within standard, there will be a program that will kill the AI, preventing it from doing any harm. This is what was suggested to me from our scientists aboard the Aquiliana, Adam's war vessel." Duke pauses again and looks at the blueprint of the Mako. "Now where is this jail exactly? The Location might impact its capabilities."

| Zoe Williams simply took the opportunity to speak, not even letting Oliver the time to think. ''Take me for a fool, or not, I don't care sir. We did what we MUST from our direct superior.'' She grabs her PDA and displays the schematics and plans of the Secunda. She points the laboratory. ''The 'jail' is in our laboratory. There nothing too compromising. The only bad thing is that the systems of the jump drive and the engine is just mixed with the lab's systems.'' She was determined that Duke's vision was false. There's no option to give up the project. She clears her throat, opting to speak a bit more. ''You see, Mr Duke, we have a project running and I will not let anything to false the results.'' |

Silence dominates the room for a moment after Zoe's outburst, which Duke takes calmly, but not approvingly. "Your determination is commendable, but it will avail you nothing but death and carnage when this Artificial Intelligence ends innocent lives. Who will be to blame then? You? Your superior?" Duke questions. He signals over to the Engineer to give back the blueprint, and Duke clasps on to it hard trying not to show his frustrations, of how important he believes it is to take special precautions. "You are playing with pandora's box miss Zoe, it surely wouldn't hurt to add a kill switch? Only need to flip it if something were to go awry, yes?"
Duke goes silent a moment, trying to calm himself before saying anything else. "Artificial Intelligence, is more than some highly concentrated and artificial brain matter, inside a metal box for you and other scientists to experiment with. I have seen what the Mars could do, you really want to risk adding another one? Without being able to at least counter it?" Letting it loose into the world without any precautions whatsoever, sounds like a horrible idea to me. Even though it will allow you better results as you say for your, "project," I don't want to take that chance."

| The ice was tin and seeing this, Oliver only had to react. ''Zoe. You will have a pay cut.'' He simply said which made Zoe shut. The scientist was mumbling in her breath and then, she sighed. ''Fine...'' Seeing she calmed a bit, Oliver turned his gaze to Duke. ''Excuse her, Mr Silverton. I will agree with you for such disposition. We cannot allow a second Mars incident.'' He lightly bowed his head after saying such for an apology. He then gazed back at Zoe. ''Zoe, you will bring those gentlemen to your laboratory and allow them to bring this precaution.'' Zoe obviously saw betrayal in this, but she needed to comply. She sighed and finally nodded to Oliver with reluctance. ''Alright. Sirs, if you are ready... just follow.'' She said while already making her way out of the room. |

After watching the engineer and scientist get up and follow Zoe out of the room, Duke nods back to Oliver as a sign of understanding. "It is alright Mr. Oliver, I have had worse and far more complicated talks than a woman getting angry with me." he chuckled at this, then sighed afterword speaking again, "Although, that doesn't mean she can't get worse. Keep an eye on her, alright? Last thing we need is some hothead running a sensitive project such as this." Duke finishes.
Meanwhile, as Duke stays behind to talk with Taylor a little bit more, the scientist and engineer follow Zoe into her Labatory. On the way there it was silent, but before they finally reached the Labatory, the engineer finally speaks for the first time, "Well miss uhh Williams, sorry 'bout your frustrations with the Admiral and all, but he can kinda be a strict man sometimes." He pauses for a moment scratching his head, wondering what else to say, "Now I woulda introduced myself but uh, orders keep our mouths shut for the most part miss, and we can't share our names none neither." He gestures between himself and the scientist, "But you can call me wrench I 'pose, and you can call him Mutey, he ain't much a talker really." Mutey gave side eyed glance not approving of the nickname he was given, but kept following Zoe without protest.

| Reaching the laboratory, Zoe mostly did not care less about the introduction. But just as the door shut behind them, Zoe's assistant was already monitoring the systems. She sighed. ''Good... Finally some aid...'' She said simply. Zoe then introduced her to the duo whom followed her. Zoe broke the silence. ''Sarah. They came to install a switch to prevent the AI to act up from what I basically understood. Allow them to work.'' Sarah simply nodded and let her place to the duo. She momentarily looked at the monitor where the A.I was 'locked' in. She turned her head toward the duo. ''Just be quick and efficient... oh and don't get startled if the audio outputs suddenly act up...'' She warned before to add. ''The A.I here is quite... a prankster if I can put it that way...'' Just because she said this, the audio device connected to the monitor already acted up and then, a voice a bit came out, but the voice was more made by frequencies. We are so much more than this...'' Sarah simply rolled her eyes and Zoe simply sighed, clearly used to such. Zoe Williams just broke the silence. ''Right... this one is like this.. acting up without asked to make an action.'' |

No comment from the scientist, or reaction, but the engineer seems a little spooked, "Thing talks tae? Well I'll be damned, things gettin' more an' more advanced every day." The engineer looks at the monitor for a second before sighing and moving on to look for parts to add the kill switch. "Oh yeah, if you happen to have any spare parts, do let me know won't ya? I got some tools but I'll needa more than that. Also, Mutey here already knows what code to implement, he can plug in that data whatevers into it, do his magic wizard whatever, and make it work." The scientist waves around the data pad he brought with him aboard, signaling he is ready whenever.

| Zoey replied to engineer. ''You can begin the work. I will let Marc aware of your need.'' On those words, she left the laboratory, letting Sarah with the engineer and Mutey. Sarah sighed and kept working on the console. ''I will keep monitoring the A.I while you work. It's just a precaution.'' She clarified. While walking in the corridors, Zoe grabbed her PDA and began to send a message to Marc, letting him known that he will be needed if contacted. |

The engineer does a half salute watching Zoey leave the laboratory and turns around to answer Sarah. "Hope it ain't dangerous or nothin', thing creeps me out as it is." He observes the Artificial Intelligence for a moment before asking a question, "Oi, any chance you can get uh.. Marc down here? I'ma in need of some parts to get this thing workin' all nice and proper you see, so lets get that sorted." Meanwhile, Mutey was uploading simple schematics on his data pad, which was an electric wire diagram of a switch. With this schematic, the engineer will have an instruction manual so there isn't a chance that he will screw it up.
