RE: New Dawn Movement - Faction Information - JorgeRyan - 08-18-2025 Interesting write up. I saw you noted the Liberty Nazy evicting zoners in Pennsylvania, but nothing on Corsairs and Freeport 9. Is that an area/story your group will be playing around in too? RE: New Dawn Movement - Faction Information - Goddess Astra - 08-19-2025 Thank you for reading it! Our current focus is largely on Pennsylvania and Erie, but I don't see any reason why we couldn't get involved in the Omegas against the Corsairs. We're equally against what they did to Freeport 9. RE: New Dawn Movement - Faction Information - New Dawn Movement - 08-28-2025 Faction diplomacy updated to tweak attitudes toward the Order and Nomads to more closely match roleplay, and to add Bristol under "friendly." RE: New Dawn Movement - Faction Information - Sally - 08-28-2025 I just realized the stance towards Gaians and I think you guys forgot about the fact that Gaians dropped bioweapons on Gaia to forcefully (and successfully) remove the Enclave occupying the planet, killing a good chunk of bretonian refugees in the process. Given you're eager on pushing the Order on the not-good side of the rep I believe you might have more reasons to not have a good opinion on Gaians despite the fact they helped New Dawn, specially considering Maquis get the exact same treatment. RE: New Dawn Movement - Faction Information - Goddess Astra - 08-28-2025 IIRC that got retconned, I thought? If it did then nobody told me and that's pretty lame because it was a very Gaian thing to do. @TheSauron I summon thee. It just got reworked this patch to them deploying it on the base in orbit of Gaia instead of on Gaia itself. Praise our storydev lords, we are free of this burden. RE: New Dawn Movement - Faction Information - Goddess Astra - 08-28-2025 Cool, that's about what I thought. So, to answer your question Sally: what they did to the Enclave base isn't a dealbreaker for us. Gaians are also ideologically similar to anarchists, as it turns out. RE: New Dawn Movement - Faction Information - Hemlocke - 08-28-2025 Well, even if the Gaians dropped bio-weapons on Gaia, it stands to reason that there would be some that rationalize that action even if it's morally questionable, morality is a subjective thing. But the New Dawn back when Andorra Haven was still around received aid from Gaians against Royalist aggressors in the region. Which even if the bio-weapon dropped on Gaia occurred, means they have at the very least a positive-lean towards /some/ Gaians, which can't really be properly represented in rep sheets since by name and banner they all fall under the identity. So this is supported by roleplay that transpired, not just the faction's own view. |
