Not to be funny but I really think you oughta relax and start actually playing the game the way its supposed to be played. Really. I've been playin FL for 4 years now and over time learned that getting impatient will get ya nowhere. If you get bored trading , mine. If you get bored mining , do missions , go pirating , go chase pirates. Make up different characters for different moods and play the ones you feel like when logging on. I have 6 stretched over two disco servers at the moment and I'm having lotsa fun playin all of 'em. And I mostly get time to play weekends only , having to work like normal people in the week. It is after all just that. A game.

Seriously. How do you think everyone else here learned all this stuff? They went out and found it themselves instead of wasting time expecting others to do it for them.

To begin, that's ridiculous. You know how we've technology, how we know how to cook food, how we know how to fix a car? etc, etc? How, in this game, people know how to fight, know where traderoutes are, know how to RP? They had people help them. We're all of us standing on the shoulders of those who came before, and that's how it should be, else we'd still be in caves, dieing at 30.

Furthermore, here's my suggestion: Find a couple of transports, I think you need about 12000 cargospace for this to work.

Mine in the stokes feild, selling the cargo to the traders for the fraction of thier profits on the sale of the niobium there of 1/number of players in the group (traders+miner), when they land on Liepzieg. If they follow the correct route, you, the miner, earn abotu 260 cr/sec, and the transports earn about 220 cr/sec on that leg. They then move high temp alloys to the Ring, fly empty to oder, pick up engines, which they haul back to southampton. They grab basic alloy there, and fly it to Planet Leeds. From planet leeds, they fly empty to the stokes feild.

Realize, of course, that the Stokes feild is in the middle of a warzone, and you're likely to get shot up. Even so, all parties involve earn around 30M/hour.

I guess it's a good thing that this is just a game, then. First time you play any other game do you reach straight for the strategy guide or walkthrough or do you try to play it through yourself the first time through?

On the other hand, Disco adds an roleplaying element that isn't there in SP. Yes, Trent had to Discover, but it's entirely feasible that a character might have knowledge that a player doesn't.

For example, I don't know where any of the rogue bases are off hand, although I'm sure I've got a few in various ships databanks. If I decided to start one, I think it's entirely reasonable said rogue would get to learn where they are without having to search all the Liberty systems for them.

To begin with, I'm making 20+mil an hour trading. In my zoner whale. One run takes about 20minutes or just under, and make an average of 8mil. Not good but not too bad. However, it does give me a lot of time to forum around...
And I was told I wasn't doing it right and that my miserable 24mil an hour is peanuts

And yeah I always play multiplayer games with walkthrough in hand, sometimes in SP too. So I play in windowed mode, FLcomp open, datastorm printout in hand, rushing between my trade routes and forum/anime/4chan on the run.

That's exactly how it should work. In fact, it's genius!

No, that is an ideal rate for an Advanced Train. For example, let's assume that the product is generating 2,400 per unit and a single leg takes half-an-hour, with the same rates upon the return. You won't earn more that in a transport, even a 3,500-profit route won't have a return product that makes any more than 1,500 credits. Well, this is all based upon my last investigation into the commodities and that was a while ago now.

Why are you concerned about spending 30 million that you want to earn every hour?
