it needs a whole new concept for the nomad ships if you wanne get rid of the "sex toy" look. - nomad ships ARE cylindrical ... and usually slightly larger in the front than in the rear. - so they either look like space mushrooms or cheap sex toys made of an ugly "glow in the dark" plastic.
they re all not very complex - and the sunbuster cannon even looks like a shincter. - i mean.... these things ARE fallic. - trying not to make them look like they do is like trying to make a penis not look like a penis.

The rear of the ship with the appendages is really good - the main body of the ship is a little too much like a blimp (and ribbed for extra pleasure!)
Perhaps if the shape were flattened somewhat? More like the current Nomad Cruiser.
Either that - or split the main body laterally, lose the lower half and have the Sunbuster Gun slung under the fuselage like an 'appendage within the appendage'. The gun joins onto the ship near the back of the main body where the forward appendages come out.
My reasoning is that there would be a gravometric plexus at that point - where the graviton fields for both jump-drives and the Sunbuster Gun would be generated...And it looks meaner;)
If that makes sense?

Or make new nomad cruiser as a hybrid between nomad and wildes,that give you chance to leave the cylindrical deasign and you dont need to remodel all nad ships
