I've actually been considering remodeling the Firefly. I like the ship and I like the design, so I was going to Bretonify it - help it maintain its general shape but take on the detailing attributes of the Bretonian transports, sort of like I did with the Outcast Destroyer. Thoughts?

Please please do it. If it gets Bretoniafied, Bowex might actually use a few of them. It's an awesome concept, but it looks shoddy ingame at the moment.

I saw on the forums a ways back a really really awesome looking Borderworlds remodel and retexture of the Firefly....
I liked it so much in fact that the moment that .85 came out I took my Zoner fighter to Cambridge, all the way from somwhere in Rheinland to see it.... I was rather sad it did not get in, it was an amazing looking remodel
Maybe we can find out who made it?

The RT is a import as well. I dont remember what its from but id be angrey as hell if it got replaced.
Yup... It's from the Dark Forces series of games... Jedi Knight: Jedi academy I think... The Crow is the Mouldy Crow from an earlier game in the series.
I fly both. So long as the RT is replaced with something equally nasty looking and vicious I care not. (Got to be black as well, otherwise Rawshank would be upset)

When I see the firefly, I dont think of the show anymore. Same with the whale pretty much. These models have been in the game so long they really feel like part of disco. If you want to do a little light re-skining or minor modeling I think that would be fine, but dont completely remodel them, at this point hey are more a part of disco to me than they are an import. They belong here now.

I didn't realize the Whale was an import, it's just so, well, decent looking. I tried flying a Firefly at one point, but couldn't last with it. It's just too ugly! Make a similar model, even, I wouldn't mind, so long as it wasn't quite so:(-esque.

Honestly, if nothing else -PLEASE- keep the Firefly, the Heavy.Metal.Queen grew up from a fire fly! I loved that ship when I had it, Yes it could use a reskin to make it fit in more, but it's a great ship...c'mon..some of the imports are what makes disco, well...disco...atleast in my opinion.
