Discovery Homework Help Kiosk! - Nightfall - 02-04-2007 @McNeo: All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players: they have their exits and their entrances; and one man in his time plays many parts, his acts being seven ages. Words, words, mere words, no matter from the heart. I'm not an English teacher:P Discovery Homework Help Kiosk! - pchwang - 02-04-2007 You sure sound like one Nightfall! Sorry about the away, everyone, had an interview last night. @ Mr. McNeo, If you memorize parts of the sonnet, sentence by sentence, you will find it easier. Read the part you want to memorize, cover it, and try to repeat it in your head, EVEN if you cannot do it well. Keep on doing it for each line until it is all memorized. Then go back to the first line and see if you still remember it! ;) Discovery Homework Help Kiosk! - pchwang - 02-10-2007 To refresh the thread... Discovery Homework Help Kiosk! - PARAKEET - 03-12-2007 History...(not really) Why does the USA refuse to have contact with Libya , I Know it has something to do with terrorist support right? Discovery Homework Help Kiosk! - pchwang - 03-14-2007 Hmm... So, I'm guessing from the paucity of posts in this thread that everyone here is a straight A student? jk/lol Post questions if you need help! :D Discovery Homework Help Kiosk! - McNeo - 03-14-2007 Hmm well....i have a question. I can do dy/dx = y and y = dy/dx, but i keep forgetting which one is integration and which one is...the other one which i forgot the name. Are there any tips on how to remember which one is which? I mean i know its a simple pair of sums but i always get mixed up when doing integration or the other one. thankyou:) Discovery Homework Help Kiosk! - pchwang - 03-14-2007 I'm guessing this is Calculus of a Single Variable? Well, Integration is changing a derivative into a function, and Differentiating is changing a function into its derivative. For instance, You can integrate 5 and get 5x, the function, as your result. Differentiating something like 6x-1 will yield 6, the slope. Does that help? Discovery Homework Help Kiosk! - McNeo - 03-14-2007 So differentiation is where you multiply the power of x with the value before it, then take away a value of 1 from the power. And integration is where you divide the power of x with the value before it, then add a value of 1 too its power. like this: Differentiation: dy/dx = 3x^3 + 5x^2 + 10x + 4 y = 9x^2 + 10x + 10 and Integration is y = 5x^5 + 14x^2 + 23 dy/dx = x^6 + 7x^3 + 23x + c Please correct me if im wrong:D. Also... what does this symbol actually mean (ill try to do it the best i can): 2--/ ---| ---\ ----| -3-/ Thats a minus 3 at the bottom in case it doesnt come out right. I think i know what to do when it comes up, but i need to actually be able to remember what it does and means in my Ad-Maths exam. Thankyou for everything Elgato:) |
