hrm i have a feeling this is aimed at me...indirectly.

innocent till proven guilty, however both sides have to have valid evidence. also...in my opinion discrepencies in stories come into play.

if it is in regards to the post by ::Rhubarb:: then i honestly dont care...obviously there are 2 sides to a story.

International Skating Unions Decision

In Claudia Pechstein's case there isnt any positive doping test.

So in some cases...yes

I am asking for your thoughts on the matter, not what happened in the ice-skating world. (However, I am glad you posted that.)

No problems.

Yes. (However, I did not say when.)

Feel free to vote and discuss.
That was more the basic part, i dunno, what the real "matter" is. Please, tell us what you really mean, otherwise we can only make loopholes

Well, I wanted to know your thoughts on whether someone should be punished before or after proof is supplied of whether they are guilty or not. Specifically, your thoughts. (That is, each and every person who comes across this thread.)

As per the above, I am glad you posted that little tidbit, because it provides discussion.

It would be unfair if it was done before the evidence was shown

That is what I think as well, but I have not voted yet.

I firmly beleive in the idea of pre-emptive punishment. It's something which I practice frequently, using you as my social guinea pigs to see what effect it will have on the minds of the populace of my future empire. I shall laugh in a sinister fashion now...

Baaahahahahahaaaha(dance puppets, dance)hahaaaaaaaaGEEEEEEhahaaahahaaaaaa.

Ok... I'm done now.

On a more serious note rather than the utter fabrication I have posted there, I am someone who will (in my position) punish those who have actualy done something wrong. That means I'll have to have proof of the fact they did it.

However, there is something to be said for preventtative measures, despite my earlier joke on the subject...

Bringing this down to the level we operate at in discovery, there are certian people or groups who have an overly agressive or destructive mindset ooc. Thats something I'll try to deal with one way or another... Is that a punishment? I dunno.

I am interested as to the motives behind the poll though. Could those be clarified?

I was punished before the conclusion and on both occasions i was deemed "Unguilty" on both cases, it would be great not to punish anyone without final conclusion. you call it "pre-emptive punishment." But once it was proved that i have done nothing wrong, was i compensated? Nope i was not.:(
