I am pretty new to Disco as well, and i had a hard time too, finding all that law-stuff, ebargo policies and so on.
That however doesn't explain why some people thing they can go rogue and do whatever they want. The Police ID allows do demand allied and civillian pilots, not Pirates!
As for the RP: I tried to reason, first in RP, asking him if those poor souls he just pulverized had no right on a fair trial, he just laughed at this. I then told him, that he was not allowed to demand those pirates and that it was my profit (the bounties/ransoms on the pirates, at least that is what i take the high prices at certain places for) he is cutting. I dedn't got any kind of answer. I went to OOc in a PM then, telling him what the law and his ID says, i was ignored as well.
I actually like the RP of some of the indie Police officers, first time i saw one fining 50 credits for a broken running lights iwas nearly falling of my chair laughing, can't see anything wrong with parking tickets either. It is the boldness and incomprehension of some people that makes me mad (and sometimes the lack of english language, i don't play a policeman if i know nobody is going to understand me).
I didn't want to attack all of the indies, hell i am one by myself!

First of all, what you are stating was the previous LPI. If you go to the LPI wiki, you wil find that corrupt officers were all fired in 815. Being corrupt is not RP, it shouldn't happen that much, yet, in a matter of 30 minutes, I find 3 indie LPI making up stoopid laws that don't even make sense.
How can you justify the fining of all thing, BLOOD DIAMONDS on Liberty soil? that should NOT happen. Its even written on the description that its ONLY ILLEGAL IN RHIENLAND.

Sure you may not be able to remember every law, but you can remember most of them. Handing over pirates to the police isn't fair to the person who got them in the first place, because they have to fight the pirates in order to get them. After that, they may plan on selling those pirates on a BHG base. If the indies simple 'Confiscate' the darn pirates, thats not fair to the person who fought his way to get them, trust me, I know, I use to phar on pirates even when I was in level 37.
And then of course, Rubharb tried confiscating CODE's. That isn't fair to the person who bough them for 15 MILLION in the first place. Thats just PLAIN STUPID.
I just want all these indies to at least read the law thingy, and if you want to know where they are, just go to the faction pages, there are links there. The laws aren't as hard to remember as you think, they usually popup when your in the situation, and you know what to do.
I'mm not blaming all indies, I'mm sure there are some who know the law and have read it before ENFORCING them (and not making them up as they go as Hac said), I'mm just asking the darned indies who don't bother reading them,

Most of the independent Liberty Lawfuls havn't got a clue about the laws. And by the way, I DONT mean ALL, some of them are VERY GOOD RPers. Nice One! to the good ones!

Some of them are so good at RP'ing, they regard anything that cannot be found in liberty as illegal. And then they complain that there are stupid bounties posted on them.
