Well said. Rule breakers can go die. New RPers always have a chance, and you can have some fun with them as well.

So... Just to be clear, this thread is about newbs, not n00Bs right?

Like Dream Theater said, rulebreakers that are here just to destroy everyone game experience do not belong here.

And lolwutters who are there since many months and that dont give a s!@# if you try to RP with them do not belong here either.

The lolwutters that should stay are those who are begginers, here since a month or two and that WANT to learn. They might annoy you a little but usually being nice with them, explaining what is good and what is bad, RPing with them, will give good results.

Personally, I was in the last category in the first month I have been here, but the difference with many is that I wanted to learn.

I can't agree with all of this, I'm afraid.

There are just too many people who are not interested in changing, and really I find it for selfish reasons. There are NO severe consequences to out of roleplay behavior. No one gets a real slap on the wrist for going ahead and "ENGAGING" someone, even if they aren't properly tagged. Oh, so they lose credits and guns? maybe make an account here and go "I'm sorry, fixing rep now"? Then they go trade for 14 hours to get there stuff back and do it all over again, often times not even getting reported.

Some people will change through courtesy, and move along with the ideas. Others will do nothing close to that without force. If we expected everyone to pay taxes JUST BECAUSE it's good for the country and necessary we'd be in the dark ages.

' Wrote:I'd actually prefer if the average of the server was 50 RPers as a constant, than 200 players of which at least a 100 will give no RP whatsoever.

I'm telling you, if we had more RPers, we'd get more RPers.
This way, those who are into RP will usually leave the server after bad experiences.

Lolwuting needs to be weeded out, pure and simple. I'll always want the feeling that when I try to RP, I'll get RP back, and not silence or lol.

If they really want to lolwut, find a different server, host your own 'lolwutting pvp server' with Disco mod enabled, or save it for Flood.

And if they're pirated, they hop onto their Corsair Dreadnought that's parked on the Norfolk.
Or if you somehow wrong them they start swearing and then jump onto the Zoner Juggernaut parked nearby to delivered divine retribution.

Need I continue?

Ok I dont like those things. Ill correct myself- I only like lolwuters when they are defending themselves. All other scenarios I dislike.

I figure if one doesn't play the game right, one shouldn't ruin it for others...

I'd rather have the capwhores then no one at all.

I also really don't see a big difference in new whores and old whores. They occur equally in both.
Anyone who likes PVP knows the best battles are equal battles and I think sometimes it takes awhile for people to get that and unfortunately there are a group of gamers out there (who in all games) only care about "winning" and no amount of time will cure that.

I also believe that when people get there brand-new Cruiser/Battleship, they can get a little over-zealous in the "Test out my new Toy First Cap Ship" phase. We all did it.
